This was my second stay at Meadow Inn within the last 6 months.nnMy first stay was for one night and wasn't the best experience. Check-in felt rushed, the room was extremely noisy and I didn't get much sleep due to nighttime traffic on the busy Sydney Road. I was happy it was only one night though I did enjoy the bistro and games bar.nnThis time my stay was for 3 nights and I came prepared with ear plugs! However, for whatever reason I didn't need them. The room I had this visit was significantly quieter than last time and the traffic appeared to be less.nnCheck-in was also really smooth and the gentleman on reception was jovial, attentive and informative. I felt welcome, which is important !nnThe rooms match the venue's 3 star rating. The bathroom isn't great and is pretty cramped, but the beds are comfortable and the room itself was quite roomy. Although not necessarily dirty, the room and especially the bathroom could do with a little spruce up, maybe a lick of paint would freshen them up.nnThe best part again was the bistro. The service was absolutely wonderful. I cannot fault it, only recommend it. Both servers, Dan and Narissa, were welcoming, attentive, friendly, helpfulness, efficient, kind and went beyond expectations. Their timing was spot on, I felt neither rushed or delayed.nnThe menu has a nice variety and I tried a few different options over my stay and all were very nice. Having 20% off as a guest makes it even better.nnThere's a lovely atmosphere too. It wasn't at all crowded and not very busy, but I felt extremely comfortable and relaxed. How many places do you visit and feel stressed and just want to hurry up and get out ?! Of course if the restaurant had been heaving my experience might have been somewhat different, but I feel the staff know how to manage small and large crowds of guests.nnThe location is handy and during the stay there were a good number of retail options.nnAll in all a good stay and I would recommend others stay or at least visit the bistro.
Big signs outside say opens at 10am. Needed to be out of my hotel up the road at 10am, so went to kill time before my flight. Doors are locked. Waited around an extra 10min still nothing. Went to side door of sports lounge, sign says it opens at 12 noon…. Get rid of your 10am sign then! Ridiculous. Was hoping to spend lunch and have a good feed before my late flight. Not here!!!
Went in to have lunch - we ordered using the QR code - we then waited around for an hour. After waiting for so long we asked the girl at the bar where our food was - she proceeded to say “you ordered food? this is the bar and the kitchen is closed” We informed her that if the kitchen was closed we shouldn’t be able to order food via the QR code and that she should’ve told us when we walked in - She got her manager to give us a refund, we waited another 10 minutes for him to come. He said he could only give us a cash refund - he proceeded to try and rip us off and not look at our online receipts until we had to be firm with him - he began calculating our total using their normal menu and not put receipts - he then tried to not add the public holiday surcharge to our refund - after much debate and him not taking two females seriously we got our refund - the customer service here is atrocious not even one apology
Such a lovely feeling to come into my local and be greeted by Helen. Such a friendly lady without being overly friendly, great welcoming smile, and even remembers exactly what l drink. Please give the lovely person a pay rise!
Steve in the sports bar was great. Very welcoming for visitors.nWe ordered steak for dinner. The flavours were amazing however the meat was cold, our garlic butter wouldn’t melt into the steak. My wife sent it back and after about 2 minutes it was presented back to the table the plate was untouched and id say they put the whole plate in the microwave for 30 seconds, didn’t have a problem if thats what they did.nDisappointed
