A pleasant and restful accomodation, walking distance to the train network and 15 mins drive to Northland Shopping centre. Property was in good condition with recently renovated bathrooms, free internet and spacious rooms.

Ok so if you’re going to stay here you need to be aware of somethings. I stayed 2 nights here.nFrom previous reviews there seems to be residents or people that stay frequently enough that cause disturbances. The night I arrived there were two people “hanging out” in the carpark for a long time around 11pm. Not something you’d normally do when the outside temp is about 6 degrees. On the last night I stayed I was woken up by a women screaming that she “wanted her stuff” somewhere close to my room, followed by more incoherent yelling and storming around the carpark. There was also some huge argument in the morning with her and the staff, though I wasn’t sure of exact details.nSo no, didn’t feel especially safe staying here and I suspect this isn’t the first time as other reviewers have mentioned similar experiences.nOnto the room itself.nMy first impression when walking into the room was that it had a very very strong smell of deodoriser, after my experience here I’m wondering what that was covering up.nnFor some reason the tv turned on automatically at 8am.nnI didn’t find an issue with the bedding or bathroom like some other reviewers.nThe bed was “ok”, what you’d expect from a motel, woke up with a sore neck.nnThe carpet and split system air conditioner were in a very poor state. There were sections of carpet that were quite worn but it was the aircon unit that was the worst.nThe first night spent there was freezing as I couldn’t run the heater fan past the second lowest setting before the entire unit started vibrating against the wall. The wall unit is very loose on the wall. On the following day I had to stop at Bunnings on the way back to the room and purchase 2 rubber door stops to wedge in the crack under it to be able to run the unit to the point where the room temp was ok.nThis was an obvious long term issue as there were old yellow wads of hotel note paper wedged under the unit.nI reported it when checking out but I get the impression the caretaker wasn’t even listening to me.nnThe one positive was I found the shower water pressure and temp were great.
Good quiet location, love the fact that the windows open properly unlike hotels nowadays. Room mostly clean, would be nicer if the windows were too. Would also appreciate having shower gel instead of soap and a shower cap. Staff friendly and helpful. The best feature is the ability to park your car close to your room.
Best quality for money hotel. Clean and tidy. Not to the say customer service experience.nWitnessed a small quarrel between the front desk and another customer due to booking issues. Dealt by the young lad at the front desk very professionally. Did not end up like Karen tiktoks.nWould 100% recommend for families, couples over for a stay.
