Blue Gum Northside Cabin Park

Note that this is not a caravan park. There are no camp sites or caravan sites and it's for long-term accommodation with 28 day minimum as of 2017. Cabins are fairly basic but good for the price compared to all other accommodations in the area. Lots of shops and public transport within walking distance. Nice and quiet at night - this isn't a bogan slum like most caravan parks. The main advantage is it's a gated community so you don't have to worry too much about teenagers stealing or vandalising your car like in most other areas around Melbourne.

Rang to make a booking for a camp site as per their website and was told they don't take campers. Apparently it's only for long term residents and cabins. When asked why it was on the web showing camping sites she hung the phone up. Thank goodness I didn't camp there!

Friendly staff showed us around the grounds which are very large and have on site parking for residents next to your home, the facilities were well located and easy to access. Security was good with security patrol at nights and resident only key access to park amenities and the entrance gates. The clean roads and peaceful streets made Blue Gum Caravan Park a nice place to live in. The minimum stay is 28 days and there was great village atmosphere amongst residents and staff.
