I’m really disappointed with the coffee quality and service at McDonald’s today. nThe coffee was poorly made — it seemed like no care was taken in preparing it.nA good coffee can set the tone for your whole day, but this one completely ruined mine.nWhen you come in hoping for a nice start with a warm drink and breakfast, you expect something decent.nI really hope the management pays more attention to coffee quality and cleanliness — today’s experience was far from good.
Good maccas. Food was damn good, coffee was the perfect temp for me, strong too, i'm buzzing, good stuff. Staff were working hard and getting the orders completed super fast - surprised at the speed. I got everything i ordered, and the dining area was clean. Touch screens worked no worries. Not applicable to me personally, but love that they still have a bit of a playground area too - rare sight for a maccas these days. Pretty happy.
Very frustrating drive-thru experience today.nI pulled up to the ordering speaker and waited for around 30 seconds. I said “hello” multiple times but there was absolutely no response — no greeting, no “please wait”, nothing at all. From a customer’s perspective, it simply looked like the ordering system wasn’t working.nBecause of that, I drove forward to the first window and politely asked if I could place my order there. The staff member refused and said she couldn’t take orders at the window, she was “taking the line”.nThe problem is that there was zero communication at the ordering point. If staff are busy, a simple “please wait” through the speaker would completely avoid situations like this.nnI then went inside the store to speak with the manager. Unfortunately the response was very disappointing. The manager briefly said “sorry”, then immediately turned around and continued working without asking any staff to follow up or addressing the issue at all.nnDrive-thru service depends on communication and basic customer service. Today there was neither.nnHopefully management can look into this and improve the drive-thru process, because this experience was far below what customers should expect.
I am absolutely appalled. I understand McDonald’s is fast food and it’s quick and easy and not to expect much the staff were horrendous. Argued with me about asking for a meal. The attitude was atrocious. They then forgot my fries. So I went back. I got home opened my “double cheese burger” and it was not a double and looked like this:nnI can honestly say this is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at McDonald’s.
This store is by far one of the best in Melbourne, its service is fast & efficient and its store is clean... The staff clean the tables throughout the day.nnThe store was recently upgraded, it now has a lift to the second floor for those with a disability, it also now has an outside window for couriers to collect orders, a fast & respected process.nnI like the idea that drivers can just collect their order, without staff withholding the order and demanding the driver mark the order as collected, because that'd be hostile and disrespectful to these hard working couriers... Respect & trust goes both ways.nnI've given 5 stars based on the mutual respect between the store & couriers, cleanliness, speed of service and the overall atmosphere of the store.
