Awesome place to have lunch! Enjoyed the Sturt Focaccia - service was exceptional and the atmosphere was great. Good location nestled in the Arcade between Myer & Target. They also offer Catering to Ballarat and surrounds - I took home a list to keep in mind for our next family function!

Mattelles cafe provides excellent coffee, one of the best coffees I've had in ballarat. They cater to everyone's coffee desires if asked-- decaf, skim, half strength etc. Cakes and slices are decadent and fresh, my two favourites are the peppermint slice and apple cake which are absolutely divine. Presentation is always excellent, cakes are served with cream and the occasional strawberry, depending on what you've ordered. I am particularly impressed with how Mattelle's cafe caters for special food needs the gluten and dairy free orange and almond cake is superb. This is ballarats best kept secret as it is located in the arcade closest to Myer, so if you are on a shopping adventure, don't forget to stop here. Most of the people you see there are mature, however there is also quite a few families, so it's not filled with noisy teenagers. Staff are always friendly and efficient with their service. A lot of attention to detail has gone into their service, with waiting staff ensuring all our needs were met. Mattelles provide a catering service and although I haven't had an opportunity to use this service, their photos looks amazing, so I am considering using them for my hubbies birthday party coming up in a few months.
