Our dinner was fabulous! Super tasty, well presented and the steak was amazing. Salmon dish very enjoyable. Cocktails were awesome and the service was very good. We will be back!
Maybe not their best night based on all the good reviews on Google. Drinks came out after the food did just an old fashioned and a mocktail from the menu. Old fashioned was not an old fashioned so not confident in their off-menu cocktail skills whereas their website makes them sound super professional. Burger was fine, side of fries were a bit floppy, steak was okay, but spring veggies on the side gave frozen mixed veggie vibes and $4 mushroom add-on wasn't worth it. But the venue itself is very nice and the staff were friendly.
Marlborough Public House is an okay spot if you're looking for a place to grab a drink or a bite to eat, though it doesn't offer anything particularly remarkable. It serves its purpose but doesn’t stand out in any significant way.nnThe layout of the place is a bit unusual. There’s a small outside area which can be pleasant on a nice day, but it’s quite limited in space. Inside, there appears to be a dance floor, but it's oddly filled with stools, making the space feel cluttered and somewhat confused in its purpose. This weird flow might make it a bit challenging to navigate during busy times.nnThe partitioned restaurant seating area offers a bit more structure, but it doesn’t quite make up for the overall disjointed feel of the establishment. The food and drinks are acceptable—neither outstanding nor disappointing. The menu has the typical pub fare, so you’re likely to find something to satisfy your hunger, but don’t expect to be wowed.nnIn summary, Marlborough Public House is a passable option if you're in the area and need a place to relax for a bit. It's functional, but the odd layout and average offerings mean you probably won't go out of your way to return.
I don’t know what they did with their sauce, but it was amazing!!! Like no joke, one of the best sauce I’ve tasted in New Zealand. Also, the potato is crunchy and properly fried! Well worth the higher cost in my opinion!
Booked a table for 9 locals and 1 visitor for 8.30pm. Kitchen usually closes at 8pm and MPH were happy to accommodate us. We all had beautiful food, and the service was exceptional. Great band and a little bit of dancing made for a very good experience. Definitely on my places to visit again.
