Had dinner here on Sat night . Signs on the door told us that they weren’t operating at their usual capacity due to staff isolating so we were a little worried . Turns out the food , service and drinks far exceeded our expectations. We all ordered multiple light meals and we were impressed with every dish . So fresh and delicious . Oh and the cocktails …….the Aperol Spritz was AMAZING . Not only was everything delicious , it was also excellent value for money . Thanks everyone

Okay, would try to be fair here Good stuff first Drinks are good Atmosphere is good Stuff are friendly Desert was yummy Cons They really have a problem with cooking the steak, I order welldone, was so dry. Medium for them is well done. So take care about that. Desert a bit small portion. The chips were oily Over all was not bad experience as the kitchen offered me another dish

What a wonderful place to meet with friends and have a good time. The drinks selection was excellent, the bar menu just fine and the environment comfortable. What a lovely place to frequent.
Not as good as my last visit a few years ago. This time apparently they were super busy or had staff issues or some reason I didn't quite get. Walked in alone was ignored. OK staff were busy, but a nod or word to acknowledge they'd seen me would have made me feel a tad welcome. Esp as a sign says please Wait to be seated. Thought I might be waiting at the wrong place. Had to interrupt staff to get seated. They were apologetic. Thought I'd better sit where they could see me so I didn't get forgotten. Ordering etc was all good. Food came out - vege burger - on a lunch plate. So many kumara chips and not much room to move without throwing food all over the place. Food was rather dry and mostly carbs. as were a lot of menu choices. Pretty sure the food was more imaginative and better cooked on my previous visit. Waited to pay. Staff were at the bar but again I wasn't acknowledged. Then apologised.
Really friendly staff, very fast service and the food took less than 5 mins from when we ordered to receiving it at out table. Inside and outside tables. Also has a big bar in the middle of the room so there is always space at the bar for service.Food: 5/5
Very well presented pub, with a great selection of drinks -- including masses of gins, both native and international. Slightly lacking in service when we visited and surprised to find it closing an hour before advertised time. Am sure it could be better on a busier night...
Honestly the BEST vegan kumara fries and aioli EVER EVER EVER, HANDS DOWN THE BEST! *Chefs kiss * And amazing mocktails And lovely smiley friendly service too!
Two hours after ariving we got our meals. Ordered within 15-20 mins of arival. Waiter apoligised and said 5 mins. 40 mins later they come out. After all said and done still had to pay full price. Entrees great. Mains average. Will not return
