Finally got a chance to try this wine bar and it did not disappoint us!nnThe atmosphere was very comfortable and music was not too loud. Although the light could be a ted brighter but it did not other us too much.nnWe ordered the chef menu as we wanted to try everything. The food quality was very good and consistent from entree, main to dessert. The drink menu was extensive and the staff member who served us was knowledgeable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the night.
Marion Wine Bar, has been sitting on my list of places to visit since moving here, to the big smoke, and there were no disappointments.nnA well deserved mention to Lana who constantly checked in with us but without over stepping, making sure my friend and I were enjoying ourselves and having an overall laugh together. She is such a delight.nnTo the food, my girlfriend and I shared the chefs menu - I definitely enjoy this option when it’s your first visit, to allow the place to really present itself - $85.00 for the amount of food you got, perfect. I didn’t feel hungry, I felt well satisfied. Everything was delightful, compliments to the chef.nnThe overall layout is so intimate but not invasive of other people, a wonderful dim light atmosphere to make it feel comfortable and safe.nnI wish I came sooner.
Amazing location and place. I’ve been here twice now, once for a set share menu for a birthday celebration dinner and second for girls night catch up. Food here is very delicious, loved the bread, definitely pricey place and from what I could tell, they had a great selection of wines but I am not a wine expert. Good vibes with good company, definitely add this to your wine bar lists or girl/date night locations!!
I visited Melbourne on a Solo trip but still wanted to enjoy the amazing food Melbourne has on offer. Marion accommodated my request to sit at the window & the lovely waitress offered to provide half serves for me so I could enjoy more dishes off the menu. This allowed me to experience more of the dishes I wanted to try! Stand outs were the bread & tuna but also the salad. So fresh!!! Of course the baked Pasta was a must have! It was such a stunning sunny day too, so I was very lucky. Had such a great lunch. Thank you
The atmosphere was vibrant, and the food was outstanding. We were unsure what to order, so went with the Chef's selection, which turned out to be a fantastic choice!nnThe flat bread was incredibly delicious, honestly, the best I've ever had! The tuna was wonderfully fresh, lightly marinated in soy sauce, giving it a perfect balance of flavours. I don't typically go for chickpeas based dishes, but the chickpea panisse with whipped ricotta topping was a pleasant surprise.nnThe cos lettuce was another unexpected highlight, topped with grated pecorino cheese and walnuts, simple yet packed with flavour. The mussels with fried bread were different from what I envisioned. I expected a warm dish, but it was served as a cold salad, which was still refreshing and enjoyable.nnThe grilled steak was tender, cooked to perfection at medium rare, just the way I like it. And for the shoestring fries? You can never go wrong with those!nnWe ended the night with a chocolate terrine and flan. I loved the flan, while my partner couldn't get enough of the chocolate terrine, paired with a wonderfully light whipped cream.nnOverall, the dishes were fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was unbeatable. We will definitely be back!
