We came to see a friend play a gig here and it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday arvonThe venue was really lovely, the music was great, and the staff were really friendly and helpful even though the place was absolutely packed. The manchego & jalapeno croquettes were absolutely to die for, the flavours were incredible.nOverall it was good food, good vibes, good people. We'll definitely be back!

Not sure they know that salt exists. I had chips with my Parma and the chips weren’t paired with salt. I’m not sure that chips have ever been drowning with nothing other than oil. Might need to dig some salt out of Greenland to supply The Standard

Excellent pub meal on a warm Spring evening at the Standard Hotel in Fitzroy. Great service from the staff and wide selection of beers on tap.

Great pub, easy to book, wonderful  friendly staff and the food is excellent the Standard is a hidden gem a crowd pleaser and we loved it! 10/10

By my taste this is the best pub in Melbourne. The staff are always lovely, drinks are cold, the kitchen is reliable, there's always a comfortable spot to sit, the carpet smells beer soaked in a way that hits just right, there are always phenomenal dogs in the courtyard, they have the BEST pub triviannIf you don't like The Standard you're a cop. If it were legal I'd ask this pub to marry me.
