The Standard Hotel is a charming pub, warm and inviting with a beautifully decorated interior and a massive heated beer garden. We snagged a spot next to the open fireplace, adding a cozy touch to our visit.nnWe started with a bottle of rosé, snacking on olives and focaccia while eagerly awaiting our chicken parmigianas. The parmas didn’t disappoint; hefty free-range chicken breast with a perfectly crisp crumb, topped with prosciutto, Napoli sauce, mozzarella, and even feta. Served with a fresh salad and crispy chips, it was a fantastic meal. The use of prosciutto in place of the traditional ham was a standout twist.nnThis Parma definitely ranks in our top 5! Overall, a great pub feed in a hidden gem of a pub and once you find it, you'll keep coming back.

We came with a small group of friends for ANZAC day to watch the AFL. The pub inside is pretty standard, with the bar in the middle. Staff are friendly but had to deal with the greater volume of orders which meant they could be a bit brusque. The schnitzel ordered was great, well fried and crispy. The beer garden is decently sized but we had to keep moving tables as apparently they were booked for the gametime despite no one showing up. The crowd outside seemed a bit disinterested in the game which dried up the atmosphere. Overall a nice place in Fitzroy with good food and drinks but lacked a buzzing atmosphere.

One of my favourite pubs in the north of Melbourne. It's got a massive courtyard, easy to get a table. A nice selection of beers on tap and a very decent eggplant parma on the menu!

Some of my friends love this place but I probably wouldn't choose to go there myself. On the plus side, the staff are really friendly and the beer garden is big and leafy. We were all getting bitten by mosquitos that swarm the garden beds though! I found the food to be average. There's only 1 menu option that's vegan by default: a tofu salad, which is fresh but not that interesting. A few vegetarian meals can be requested vegan which generally just involves removing cheese. And eggplant parma without cheese is pretty unappealing to me. I reckon they could organise a substitute. The bar is well stocked though and the variety of beers and wines seems good. I find the interior pretty dingy but plenty of people love that old school pub vibe.

Great place for a Sunday session! Quiet neighbourhood, but great vibes inside and out doors! Loved the picnic table setting outsidennFood and service were great! Get the beef ball croquettes
