Fantastic watering hole? You're damned right it is! First time I walked in, it was like I knew everybody and felt right at home. Great tunes played the entire evening and the beer selection was top shelf. Also, I thought everything was very reasonably priced. The barkeeps were friendly, knowledgeable about the beverages and had a great sense of humor. I plan on going back as much as I'm allowed to 🍻🍺✌️

This is a great place to chill, drink and hang out with mates. The live music is good and I enjoy the variety of genres that get played. Although i do agree the prices for jugs and pints is quite expensive. The back part is a cool place and a great place to meet new people.

One of the best bars in Melbourne. It's non-pretentious, not expensive and always very friendly. The Old Bar generally never closes and has very frequent bands playing. Most Melbourne musicians have played the Old Bar at some point. Just be warned, the carpet is very sticky.

Best pub in fitzroy hands down! Friendliest staff and an awesome venue for bands. Sounds magnificent.

Classic Fitzroy dive bar. One of the very few left unadulterated by the inevitable gentrification of the oldest suburb in Melbourne. Still doing live dirty local music. Still sporting sticky carpet. Still a favourite of the true locals. Beer garden out the back, perty in the front. Do it. At least once.
