This is an amazing, hidden gem. From the moment you step off the tram your experience of Absinthia begins. After walking down the dark street and finding a mysteries glowing, green, brick and plastic building, you must ring the door bell to enter. A well dress man appears from behind the door and welcomes you inside. The interior of this building is like something from a dream; peculiar paintings on the walls, green flowers hanging from the ceiling, very moody lighting. You're shown the correct way to drink Absinthe and the bartender, when it comes to the spirit, is probably the most knowledgeable man I've met. His detailed descriptions about each individual Absinthe are as absorbing as they are entertaining. I had never had Absinth before, and although I don't overly enjoy the taste, I will certainly be back!

Awesome atmosphere in a great location. A unique bar experience mixing absinthe and artwork, the outdoor patio is especially cool and intimate. Highly Recommended!

Amazing place! Was told about this little Fitzroy gem through a friend. The fitout is spectacular, the staff friendly and knowledgeable and there is other beverages to cleanse your absinth palate. Spending a few hours here goes very quickly, time just chisels away. Gotta check this place out.

The drinks are fantastic, even if you don't like absinthe. However what would make it better is getting rid of the smoking section. It is connected to the main area (the non-smoking area) and it just stinks of smoke and cigarettes and ruins the taste of the drinks.

Cool speak easy bar with amazing artwork and chilled vibe. Staff are very knowledgeable with a large variety of absinthe and other alcoholic drinks available. Definitely recommend it!
