Working in retail myself, I thought high staff helplessness would always be priority. I have never seen a more rude reception in my life. She did not give me a solution or called security, just because i had a room with a private owner. I loved the hotel to be honest, i was thinking of booking with them for next time. But after speaking with reception, I’m never coming back again. I was with my family, and got disrespected in front of them. I wish she gave me a solution with the disrespect, but no. Kindly fire the middle aged lady with her hair in a bun, if you want more service. Thank-you. I will happily help locate which one she is if you choose to contact me. Absolutely horrendous.
If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would. We got a high level floor that I asked for, the check in & out was so easy and efficient. Staff were so lovely, room was clean and the bed was comfy. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend and will definitely be back!
We thought we upgraded from another great hotel to the Mantra. What a mistake. And because they have a no refund policy, there was nothing we could do. Dry and unhelpful staff, no matter how polite we were. Requested and paid a lot of money for a better room, and they could not comply. So rude about it. Honey moon wasted on this place. Would not recommend. Have blogged and told many people. Really devastated to be stuck here during my stay. Not worth it, AT ALL.
I stayed lots of 5 star hotels but this apartment was exceeded my expectations!!! Highly recommend! Great view from balcony, great location access to everything. Nice clean rooms in generous size. Reception staff are so friendly and helpful! Value the money!!!
I was expecting more to be honest based on how expensive this hotel is. Linens, towels and pillowcases were not clean, all had stains on them. Even after the weekly service clean, the given towels and linen were not clean. Had a bad experience with car parking. I was given a spot to park my car, after returning one day I found a car parked in my spot. After talking to the reception, they told me they have made a mistake and gave my spot to a different guest, as the whole car park reservation is manual on sheets of paper. Dryer was too old and rusty and washing machine was leaking. The location is good and the apartment is good space.
The front desk woman told us we could check in early no problem. We drove from Brisbane to the hotel arrived at 1pm and she said there was no room available. When I reminded her that she had said we could come early and check in early, she said that she didn't say that and basically that I am lying. Then when we came back at 2:30 she had a huge attitude problem, can't even pretend to be professional and she said to me, the deposit was 100, then she said it was 200, maybe I miss heard that is not an issue, the issue is the way she chose to speak to us, she said "didn't you read your booking?" in front of everyone. Like she is doing us a favour. The parking space we were assigned was not in the level she said it was so we spent 30 minutes going around in circles trying to find this spot, with a crying baby in the car, then we had to go up and she said to look in another level, so we finally found it but what a waste of time. We pay good money to rent these apartments and just ask for friendly professional staff. We were promised a king size bed, got a queen size, and they refused to help us, they even refused to answer the front desk when we called the second time. I asked to speak to manager, they said there was no manager on duty but I know there was because I saw her there when we checked in. And to top it off, the rooms were extremely noisy. you could here dudes arguing or talking from surrounding rooms, and from the hallway So: -Extremely unhelpful, rude staff, I don't know where they get these people. ZERO f**ks given! -Noisy rooms, you can hear people arguing on adjacent balcony. You can hear everything at the front door hallway. - Room not as advertised, no king bed, no dish soap or dish sponge to wash dishes, and one tiny little rubbish bin for the whole stay. Next time we will spend our money elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.
Apartment was fantastic and in an awesome location with great views, we had a lovely holiday. However, after paying $5500 for our stay we were disappointed that the outdoor pool was closed so the only option for outdoor swim was the beach. Other than this, we’d visit againRooms: 5/5
Booked 5 apartments over the Cmas/NY break for our family holiday. From reservations to the end, the team was amazing.shout out to Laura, Fenny and Brian.. location was terrific.. close to EVERYTHING.. and rooms were clean and well equipped. View was spectacular and worth paying for the ocean view. All apartments had a slightly different layout but it worked out well. Outdoor pool was too windy but the indoor pool was nice. Thanks Mantra team.
Me and my partner took a trip up south for a holiday and stayed here, it was the most amazing experience. What made it even more special was we got engaged and I would happily stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
These apartments are a bit hit and miss the worst apartment mum and I stayed at was unsuitable , the couch was uncomfortable with no back support, went to manager Adam who shifted us to another apartment that was 100 percent better, he service was very professional . However, the things you had to remember were ridiculous. The circle fob or tag you had to use for the lift and car park . There were towers north and south close together, so it was easy to get them mixed up . There were 3 lifts on each side to the apartments. I also had to be able to read the code on your keyring to find your apartment. The carparks were confusing with the public and private both together. Unless you have a photographic memory , you are going to find these apartments hard to remember, as did myself, a middle-aged woman, and my mum .
