I usually order a nasi goreng here. I'd like to mention the generous amount of it here. At first you might find it pricey, but you will understand it as soon as you are served. It will fill up a grown up man's stomach. But I will not give them 4 stars only because of the quantity. It is very tasty too, of course. Recommended.

My fave place for Asian food in Brisbane. Big serves quick to the table. Have the Laksa. Or the hainan chicken rice. Yum. Actually... everything is pretty damn good here. Not the place for a date or dinner party though. It's more the.... get in...order....eat....and leave...type of joint. And if you can't finish your meal you can get a container to pack it in and take home. Yes...you pack it. Don't be lazy! 😁 Please like or share if you enjoyed this review.

Malaya Corner for me is like being in an abusive relation that I can’t seem to get out off. Some how they never seem to get our order right. There will be two of us at the table, and yet it seems logical to only bring out one plate of food to our table and not inquire whether or not any more food had been ordered. If I told you the amount of times we’ve sat their over 15min waiting for the other plate to come, you would think I were an idiot for not picking up on this pattern sooner. Without a doubt, I tell myself every time, “mate, this is the last time you’re going to this place”. And then they bring out what I can only describe as “crack in curry form”. I don’t know what it is about their Malaysian chicken curry, but I have a bowl of it, and all my troubles just seem to fade away. When moments before I had told myself “this is the last straw”, I exit that restaurant in a state of complete bliss, knowing full well, I will be back there again...and again....and again.

Can't see why anyone would give anything less than 5 stars for this place. One of my favorite in market square and that's a pretty high bar. Perhaps people don't like the décor but the food is fantastic

Javier you lied man! i went there last night and tried the malaysian curry chicken based on your review, it was average at best. however the special fried rice and salt n pepper calamari are quite good and being open til midnight on weekends is great for a late night feed!
