I am satisfied with what I bought but the customer service was not good, they were not treating the customers equally. They were very racist.

I discovered a shoe had a manufacturing fault since I bought it at Tauranga and Macpac Te Rapa were not very helpful as they said it was up to the manufacturer to decide if I got to exchange it. They also went on about how I must prove I had no worn the shoe even though the fault has got nothing to do with wearing and once returned nobody will want it as it has a stick out lip in the heel that digs in..  Macpac Te Rapa asked for photos to begin the assessment and had the cheek to say the fault does not affect the fit of the sole when obviously you can't hike with a piece of plastic and fabric digging into your heel. I decided to go to the Tauranga store where I bought it, and got it exchanged no problem there!! The customer is always right "Shy"! Honestly, what poor service!

They have a well deserved HISTORY, and back up their products with service. Recent experience of product return of top of range Raincoat several years old has resulted in an exchange for a brand new product. I am pleasantly surprised. This was facilitated by a wonderful Te Rapa store assistant Sharnie. You are the best. MACPAC you rock. NEW ZEALAND, shop local.

I am a regular customer and love the gear as most is of good quality. The selection of mens clothes is becoming less and less over time. Just finding cotton t-shirts is hard. Only about 5 to choose from. All dull bark colours. They use to be bright.

Great sales however product line is sometimes limited and the staff help isn't what it used to be. Good for shopping when you know exactly what you're after.

The fixed my zipper for free with lifetime warranty Perfect will shop here again

Macpac is a great place for good quality gear whether you're taking it on a hike or just heading overseas and want a bag you can trust

Good shop with good gear. Yes it is not cheap but you get what you pay for! Staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful too
