Love going to Brunetti's as soon as I step off the plane I head for Carlton. This is such a great place to just have a coffee and a snack. Cake as well. Oh and what beautiful cakes they are. Great place to sit with coffee and plan your stay
Fabulous atmosphere, casual and buzzing with all kinds of people, families students, great meeting place with Brunetti classic Italian cakes, confectionery and superb coffee. The range and quality is off the scale! Hard not to order seconds! Clean and well stocked rest rooms, easily accessible on street level, no stairs or weird back of the premises access. Super easy access though Swanston St trams culminating at Melbourne University, leave car at home and enjoy strolling in Lygon St, free from parking hassles. Fabulous for your next casual get together with friends. Returning soon. Love it!
This will not affect everyone, but several things indicate the centre management has an attitude that is NOT customer-centred, let alone human- centred. A big one: their security could be better. First of all, they don't keep CCTV footage for very long at all. So if you are assaulted or stolen from, good luck catching the perpetrator. Therefore, the centre is unsafe. if an incident occurs, the centre management seems to do the bare minimum. For example I had something go missing and they failed to tell me they have a camera OUTSIDE the building on Drummond St. This shows lack of care for the customer. On a similar note: its not ethical to only have WARM WATER in the toilets. This is what businesses do to FORCE people to buy a drink in the centre. But its ANTI-HUMAN. Its NOT what we expect in a friendly city like MELBOURNE. What if someone has a health condition and needs water urgently? Its cruel to make them drink warm water. Its a petty act of b*st**dry and with the other matters above all-round indicates a centre mgmt with a bad attitude. Maybe the centre management would be better off running an outlet in selfish, dog-eat-dog Sydney?
Oh ! La Bellezza del Italia alle nostri piedi The BEAUTY OF ITALY on our feet Unbelievable feeling for a new comer When U turn a corner and suddenly u find yourself in Italy . An Italian piazza in her full glory Lots of “local” Italian colour, temperamento , attitude , polite civilised clever and fuoco thinking They all keep a perfect balance between Etiquette and Human warmth . When it comes to Hospitality the Quality is of High end European standards in a more relaxing Aussie influenced “she ‘ll Be Right mate “ , manner that place us all into an Oasis of Cool socialising , human to human respectful exchange of culture , goods and the pleasure of being Alive . I’m not an Italian I use to like visiting any Italian city From South to North and worked on the boats to Greece Use to love drinking a coffe slowly while the locals drink it fast My Greek twist Now , I just go alla Piazza to the Lygon Court .
Lots of beggers in and around the entrance demanding money. At the Drummond street entrance there's always some creepy looking people loitering and asking for money. Don't give them money! There's places that can assist with charity. They're spending it at the bottle shop then just keep on begging. But out the front in lygon Street it's all tourists and expensive coffee and cake.
Verymuch a hive of activity, nice people grabbing themselves a coffee, families shopping along lygon st cafe area, and a general good feel. Gotta love Carlton.
Don't, whatever you do, start eating Brunetti's San Remo cake . . . you'll never stop. Delicious, delectable, light, hmmmm xx :
So many food options to choose from. Great place for a meal or snack before going to the cinema.
Went to lovely Brunettis for light lunch and arvo tea to celebrate our daughters birthday.
It's a little run down but the Brunetti is the main attraction.
