One of the most fabulous Lodges in far North Queensland

Sad we only had one night stay in this beautiful outback bird sanctuary. Wonderful hosts supported by four backbacker staff. They have an almost unique gould finch threatened breeding program to also release into the wild. The individual bungalows were amazingly comfortable and restful. Dinner and breakfast were superb. The walk around the lagoon in the late afternoon just a magical time warp. The only spoilt feature was the ploughef up foreshores around the lagoon looking like bulldozer tracks from the feral pest pigs. Worth the unsealed side trip off the main road. Love to goback and spend longer next time.

Amazing Food and Hospitality and such lovely people.

An excellent retreat in a beautiful location. Lots of wildlife and lovely walks miles from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Very relaxing with charming and friendly staff

Brilliant place to stay, Bird life alone worth the visit.  Hosts also good value & storytelling by Gary awesome.

Stayed there last year with my wife and kids, absolutely wonderful. Gary and Sue and their staff are fantastic... our stay wasn't long enough...
