Story

The Locavore restaurant and wine bar is located in sesational Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. A locavore (local-eater) lives by the principles of the 100 mile diet. Wherever possible all produce is sourced within a 160km radius. When in doubt we follow these principles. If not local, then family farmed; if not family farmed then organic; if not organic then fair trade.

A very centrally located Cafe Restaurant. In Stirling, Adelaide Hills. The seating configuration has been well thought out with options for groups or couples. Outside you will find a spacious, designed, dedicated, alfresco area. The owners are comparatively new to owning this cafe, but well experience in the catering industry. Enjoyed a good discussion with the owners, will definitely return for a dinner, as the menu is a Locavore 100 Mile interesting.

Popped in without a booking. Fitted us in without a problem. Excellent attentive service. I had the gnocchi vegetarian it was amazing. Good wine list too

Pub food cooked poorly. This used to be a great eatery. The kidney's were not prepared properly and varied from well cooked to dead. The fish was over-done and duck was dry without a crispy skin. Will not be returning.

Very poor offering. I had the venison at $34 and it was dreadful. My wife had the sirloin and neither of us could finish our meals. We'd been there dome 10 years ago and it was awesome. Don't go there. It only gets 2 stars because the table service was OK.
