Liquorland Berwick North

My wife can't life so she's taken our Son Olivier, 17 yo to help her carry a few bottle of cider and beer. Baskets were not available so my son carried that to the counter. The sales assistant SAM refused to serve. She said your son touch the alcohol so you can't buy. My wife asked; will you serve me if I come back without my son and SAM replied NO, I will not serve you, your son touched the alcohol hence why I can't sell it to you even if you come back without him. My wife come home crying. She is not well now. We are going to see the doctor if her condition will not get any better. It supposed to be a nice Saturday afternoon but it is turning into sad evening. Under no circumstances we are going back to this store nor any other Liquorland shop.

I am 67 and suffer from arthritis in my hands. I recently visited Liquorland at Parkhill Plazza with my 17 year old daughter. I bought a 6 pack of beer, a 6 pack of cider, a bottle of Coke Zero and a Gatoraide. Because of my problem my daughter carried the cider to the counter. The male shop assistant asked for my daughter's ID. I explained that the drink was for me not her but he said that because she carried it to the counter, she had to be 18 or he couldn't sell it. I suggested that I take it back to the fridge and get another 6 pack but he said that was not good enough. I asked if there was any way that I could buy the cider and he said no. Apparently I could buy the beer because I carried it, I could buy the Coke and the Gatoraide because they are not alcoholic but under no circumstances could I now buy the cider. I then told him to keep the whole lot and walked out. I went to Dan Murphy's and bought the same package for a few dollars cheaper. I won't be in there again under any circumstances, you make your own mind up. PS I had to give a star rating so here are 5 stars for utter stupidity and lack of customer service.
