A good stock range of fruit and veg, some of which are hard to source elsewhere. For example; Kipfler potatoes and Hawaiian sweet potatoes with purple flesh and white skin. Kipflers taste superb, which is why restaurants use them. Anything purple is better for you because of anthocyanin.nnReasonably priced. Quality, freshness and range is significantly better than major supermarkets Coles, Aldi, Woolworths.nnI appreciate the excellent customer service across the board from friendly, helpful staff and in particular; George one of owners listens to his customers and considers getting more unusual products. The major supermarkets don't do this. Lawnton CMFS now stocks purple carrots - which besides tasting nicer than the orange one, are more nutritious.nnThey also sell watercress from time to time, which is also hard to get. I have seen it in Coles, but it was small and tired.
BEST IN TOWN! Always the place to go for so much more than fruit and veg, staff are amazing and produce is always wonderful quality and prices!nI make confit garlic and they sell it peeled and in bulk! They are awesome!
This fruit/veg shop is simply the best in Brisbane. Good prices and exceptional quality. I have to drive a long way to come here but there is no other fruit shop that comes close. The only problem is its too popular and it's a bit of a squeeze at busy times. I should also say the kids that work on the checkouts are lovely. Someone knows how to select vegetables and checkout kids. Who ever manages this place knows what they're doing.
Been coming here for years. I have tried several other fruit n veg shops in the area but nothing is close to the quality.nnThey have a decent international section at the back which is fun to try new things. Lots of variation in produce, often find strange things I have not tried before and that are not found in regular supermarkets. The seasonal rotation of favourites is good, price comes down to very affordable levels when things are in season.nnThe staff are always super friendly when checking out and will always offer to help take your box to the car if can't carry it in one go.nnWith a great seafood outlet, bakery and butcher nearby it really is worth the drive as you pay less and get more them going to supermarkets.
Small family run business with a large selection of fresh fruits vegetables and a deli. You can get the most delicious mangoes at a fraction of cost to what you get in colesworth. Also love the fast service as they have very helpful staff on atleast 3 to 4 counters which are always open.
