When my partner and I moved to Artarmon a few years ago the team at Laing and Simmons Artarmon gave us a warm welcome and made us feel part of the community. Professional and courteous, we were consistently happy with how they conducted business and accommodated our needs. As tenants they supported us in finding new properties and giving us advice on the property market. We've since left Artarmon, and one thing we'll miss is running into Jeremy or Catherine near a local cafe for a friendly chat with a big smile 😀

Absolutely the worst experience of my entire rental life. Jeremy is rude, unprofessional and completely inept. The realestate agent actually owned the whole building I was living in (apartments) - unbeknownst to me- and had not only connected the sub floor ventilation to my electricity supply, but bullied me and had such horrible account keeping practices that they lost a number of rental payments from me. They used dodgy repairmen, and would show up un-announced. When I made a complaint to the head realtor it turned out Jeremy was her son and her response was "he's just a boy, it's not his fault". When I was given notice to move out and I rang to ask why they said "we're just taking orders from the landlord" but they didn't know I had found out that they actually were the landlords. If I could give less than one star I would. unethical, dodgy, rude. Everything you want in a real estate agent.

Always two sides of the story to consider especially with unhappy posts... Our experiences over several years with the agent has been one which is consistently professional and with integrity whether it is in the capacity of helping us advertise and market to sell a property, to market a property for prospective tenancy etc, no matter given a straightforward or complicated circumstances. In the matter related to one recent unhappy post, we can vouch that as owners and the agent has gone beyond their duty to help us oversee the tenants vacating our property in a proper and fair manner whilst we were away in the US. Whilst it is understandable the tenants need their bond monies back immediately, it is also the owners and agent preference to release the bond as soon as possible if all parties obligations are met ie. tenants prior to vacating must ensure property is properly cleaned to an acceptable standard as before they moved in, any damages or items broken be made good etc. The agent is doing their job to ensure these obligations are met on behalf of the owners, in this case cleaners had to be brought back to perform a satisfactory clean after they vacated. It is an exception in our 40 years of experiences that our past tenants who are reasonable would not agree to the above transparent process to protect each of us, owner, agent and tenant in a fair manner.

Catherine is a very nice local real estate agent in Artarmon. They have made lots of successful sales locally. We are very satisfied with her service and outcome.
