Very Poor Experience – Extremely Long Waiting Times & Unclear Vaccination ChargesnnI’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this clinic. Whether you arrive on time or even later than your scheduled appointment, you can still expect to wait at least 1 to 1.5 hours. This has happened repeatedly and shows very little respect for patients’ time.nnWhat was even more frustrating was my experience with my child’s routine vaccination. I booked an appointment specifically for a vaccination, but instead I was required to see a GP first and was trying to charge a GP consultation fee of $112.nnThe consultation itself lasted only around 5 minutes. The GP checked my child for a fever, confirmed that she was fine, and then told us to proceed with the vaccination. I was extremely surprised to be told that the consultation was considered to be over 15 minutes and that I could be charged $112.nnIf a separate GP consultation is required before a routine vaccination, this should be clearly explained to patients at the time of booking, including the consultation fee. Patients should not be left with unexpected charges after booking what they understood to be a routine vaccination appointment.nnAppointments are supposed to help manage patients’ time, but at this clinic, booking an appointment seems to make very little difference to the actual waiting time.nnI strongly encourage the clinic to review its appointment management, waiting times, vaccination procedures and billing practices. Patients deserve transparency, clear communication, reasonable waiting times and respect for both their time and money.
I had a telehealth appointment with Dr Rafiq A Memon through La Trobe University Medical Centre. I explained that I had a sore throat, discomfort at the back of my nose and a cough, and that I only needed a medical certificate for today because I had a laboratory class.nnAfter I clearly said several times that I needed the certificate for today only, I asked him to repeat something because I had not understood it. Instead of simply rephrasing the question, he responded in an impatient and intimidating manner and said that he had already asked me many times. I had to ask him to please listen before repeating that I only needed the certificate for today.nnThe certificate was eventually sent promptly, but the way I was spoken to was completely inappropriate. Patients who are already unwell should be treated with patience, respect and clear communication. I have never experienced such a rude and uncomfortable interaction with a GP before.
The receptionist were kind and gentle .nRidiculous behaviour from medical prac going by the name Rafiq Memon : As a student who had to pay out of pocket and still made to feel this way is shameful. He has a Dismissive way of talking to patients and easily frustrates even when you barely talked. Impatient Gp. Even when expertise tried reasoning with him still has the mentality of my way or the highway. Wont recommend to someone who genuinely wants to be heard, be able to express his condition, and someone who is gently and emotionalnRidicilous to be charged 73aud for not even meeting the reason of coming. Would have rate the gp a negative star if i was able to .nnMy recommendation is avoid that Gp at all cost and sace your time and health by going to a competent doctor.nnAnd i would like to seek for a refund
Dr Edward lam has been my GP for a number of years always been professional knowledgeable and willing to engage and treat long-term conditions outstanding professional. The rest of the staff have always been friendly and efficient
THEY SHOULD REALLY SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. I have gone there three times for my Achilles tendinitis and each time they have made me wait 1-1.5 hours just to meet the doctor. I started with Dr Edward lam who instead of helping me or providing me some solution for my problem kept giving me anti inflammatory which has no whatsoever affect on my problem. When i asked for referral for a physio or a podiatrist , his reply was that “ just go wherever you want to, i will google names aswell, you do not need my referral. I mean then what am i paying for ? Just seeing there faces?. They are condescending, unprofessional and the medical board should really look into this clinic. What a disgrace!
