I have been seeing Dr Tanusha Cardoso now for some years now for ongoing treatment. I struggle to find the words to describe how fantastic she has been throughout this time. She has a wonderful holistic approach to her management and treatment of my condition. I would highly recommend her to anyone requiring a sports physician, she is the best.
We had a very disappointing experience at La Trobe Medical Centre. My wife and I visited recently, and the front office staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this has not been the first time — every time we have come here, the reception team has treated us poorly, showing no courtesy or respect.nnMy wife being a former La Trobe University student, we used to visit the centre often and always hoped for better service, but the experience has consistently been unpleasant. The behaviour of the staff feels discriminatory, which is very disheartening.nnPatients deserve to be treated with kindness and respect, regardless of their background. We hope the management seriously addresses this issue.
Scammer! So they don’t relay there is additional cost over 15 minutes consultation. Yet they take over 15 minutes on purpose to get the extra charge. I was there for 20 minutes and - just 5 minutes over the time. And was charged nearly $40 extra for this.nIn addition appointment was at 11:15 amnWe met the doctor at 12:08 pmnDon’t waste your time here! Money hungry centre!
I had a terrible experience at La Trobe Medical Centre. My husband and I visited recently and the front office staff were shockingly rude. Sadly, this isn’t the first time — every visit we’ve made, the reception team has been dismissive and unprofessional. Their behaviour comes across as racist and discriminatory, which is completely unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Patients deserve respect and care, not hostility. I strongly urge management to take action to address this.
I've been going here for years and I can understand why all the bad reviews.nYes, if you expect to be seen on time, or called on time this place is not for you.nI have NEVER been seen on time, waiting time I'd always around 1h from your original appointment time. So I always bring my laptop to work from here or I go to the agora for a coffee. Same for phone consults, never on time and there had been a few days were they didn't call and I got charged a call in Medicare... but ok it's Bulked billed. I have never cared for them to apologise I guess because they have SO MANY patients and the nurses try to squeeze people in between appointments that it's understandable.nnI've been seeing Dr Michael Yuen for a few years and, although I understand some of the comments, I think I know understand his ways now. He usually don't look at you when I'm consult and he always seems to rush your appointment but if you ask him twice and say why you are concerned he does listen. This could be just his personality but I've never felt he was bad towards me.nI had a congenital issue on my kidney and he didn't know about it but he cared to google it and explain it to me better than the surgeon on the Northern Hospital. Dr Michael also referred me to the Melbourne Royal Hospital and I got in fast for a surgery. Although my condition worsens and I had to go through Private, this was very helpful.nnAfter surgery, I have come see him regularly to check in my urine tests. I think he also remembers my condition so he never hesitates to give me antibiotics before having my UTI tests back - my phone consults with him usually last 3min but in person it's around 15min.nnI've also seen Dr Dutta and she seemed keen when she first joined and she was keen on talking about pregnancy but I was there for women's check but then the second appointment I had I had a really bad flu and I couldn't breathe properly she refused to understand my pain condition and she didn't want to give me any medication or anything for the pain... saying I should just wait. Dr Michael would have known/remember I can't take usual ibuprofen because of my kidney damage but even when I told this to Dr Dutta she said just take ibuprofen? It was super frustrating so I never went back to her.nI only see Dr Michael now and sometimes I talk to Dr Memon for scripts or UTI tests but he is always nice too.nI understand they are super busy and over worked but I appreciate their work when I needed them.nDr Michael is known at my office as the script Doctor - in and on consultations and believe or not, some of my coworkers actually prefer that!nI need more time but he has always given me the time and to my partner as well.
