This is by far the best Kmart I have been to in a long time! Very well stocked, friendly staff, tidy and clean. Well-done on keeping your store looking so fresh

I always enjoy going to Kmart in whakatane, and over the last week I've been in twice. Its been super packed with the holidays, some of the staff look over worked, one was speaking so loud to another staff member through her ear piece thing, didn't seem like the friendly place it normally is. Whether it is Christmas season or not. It was also challenging moving through the aisle as there was alot of re-stocking happening.

Lots of missing items on shelves, aisle aren't the biggest in most spots.  Shop seems very cluttered and not much range. This Kmart could use lots of improving compared to others around the country.  On a positive note it's Kmart so pricing is always good.

Where do I start? Positive - the door person is usually always friendly and pleasant. But WHY is the checkout in the middle of the store and one must walk 10 odd metres to get out the door?! So the door person is peering at you waiting to see your receipt because you might have swiped something on your way out? The building has SHYTE reception of any kind so you can't even use After Pay! In fact trying to use your phone to do google pay is a dud too. The women's clothing items seems weirdly scattered around also. All in all not a great experience shopping here.

Discount store located in 'The Hub' shopping center.  Shop has an odd layout with the checkouts towards the back of the building and someone checking your purchases on your way out.  Big homeware section with stuff for your kitchen/bedroom/bathroom/etc.  The other dominant section is clothing with separate areas for mens, womens & kids clothes.  There is a decent baby section and areas for toys and arts n crafts.  Can't rate the staff as I've yet to speak to one despite being there three time. Loads of parking outside..

Amazing customer service from the beautiful lady greeting everyone with a warm "Mōrena" when you enter, to the busy staff willing to help a lost looking out of towner, and then to see the lady that greeted me at the door run out to the carpark to help an elderly man put his bulky shopping in his car and return the trolley for him. Awesome stuff  Ka rawe wahine Maori mā!

Sunday I went in shopping and it was packed. A lovely lady named jewels at the checkout took the time to help me put my entire trolley through self serve. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks jewels, kia pai to mahi!

Staff very friendly. Store clean & tidy & found whst I was looking for.
