Kmart - Fairfield Central Kmart - Fairfield Central

I don't exactly live close to Kmart nor was on top of my list to shop there today but when I couldn't find what needed elsewhere I sat in the car and google Kmart. They appeared to have exactly what I wanted and it was showing available as a click and collect. Being short of time that wasn't an option so I rang the store and a young girl Paige was extremely helpful. Grabbed what I required and placed at the service desk whilst I made my way towards the store. As a result I got exactly what I needed and Grabbed quite a few other items whilst there. I appreciated the service.

Friendly staff. Good clean shop and space to move about. Good prices and broad selection of everyday items. This is establishment is *BIG DAVE APPROVED!*

It's a nice Kmart. Shelves seem to go out of stock early in the day and not get tidied or replenished. And it's always the same things that go out of stock. Maybe replenishing during the day would be good. I travel an hour and a half to get there and it's usually last minute with work, and half the stuff I wanted to get the shelves are always empty. Staff are friendly enough, but they don't always feel approachable, so I wouldn't even consider asking for something I can't find most of the time.

The lack of mobile reception inside Kmart is a joke, it's a genuine Faraday cage. An LTE signal repeater costs very little but this issue has been ongoing for years now without a solution. This provides a very frustrating experience when trying to simply transfer money at the checkout.

Staff were helpful however had my time wasted by unhelpful and unreasonable bag checker at the front. Would not recommend unless you enjoy waiting.

Would be better if there were more registers instead of self serve. Or at least pass the discount onto customers that use self service.

Best Kmart branch in Townsville. Its way better than the "out of stock" Kmart located in Nathan St. Its more decent to shop here, more parking and clean.

New modern store that is well lit and well stocked. There is plenty of parking available as well as lots of specialty stores. It is nice shopping in a new fresh store however the checkout location is a pain. Would be nice to have some checkouts near the door. Was also a little frustrating, I bought a chopping board and it was cracked. I spotted the crack just after walking out the door, but instead of just swapping, I had to go to the back corner for the service desk to return, then buy a new one.

Great for shopping late Saturday afternoon
