A famous junk food brand. When u turn from the main road towards it, then if u take a left turn , that is Macdonald. The other junk food giant. If a turn right, then KFC. Onsite parking is available. Drive though service was not slow as expected it might be. This location is not that ideal as per my view. I dnt know if they had a longer drive through queue, how the vehicles would align.
Poor guy behind the counter was busy on his own, however a few others looked to be wondering around. Second in line but waited 20 minutes to receive a zinger combo. Unfortunately the delivery team kept coming in which took the waiter at the counter away from the walk ins. When I received the meal it bread felt 2-3 days old and slapped together. Have heard to not eat from here however have the benefit of the doubt. Will not return.
I messed up order and the guy was patient and smiled and said all good no worries, so put me at ease and helped me suss it. I hadn't had KFC for 4 years lol so meals changed slightly. Food was hot and fresh.
We use to love KFC Timaru but not lately. The potato & gravy is awful. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The chips were either cold or also overcooked. Changing oil more frequently would solve this problem.
Although I haven't been into every KFC in the world I have been into many, so I can't say this one is the worst. It is, however, the probably one of the worst in New Zealand/Australia. I paid for my Dinner Box. 'Sorry no potato and gravy'. Fine says I, 'I'll have coleslaw'. Requested Fanta. 'You will collect that at the next window with your order'. When I got my order; no Fanta, no spoon to eat the coleslaw with and no napkins or toweletes to wipe after the greasy, slimey chicken. So I had to go back in where a; 'yes we did', 'no you didn't' scene occurred. They got one star for not being closed.
Horrible dry food with no flavor. Forgot half of our orders so that was annoying. Not the best one ive been tooFood: 1/5
Ordered stacker bacon burger combo x2. Told the guy not zinger when he said zinger stack. Told him again just original chicken. Got x2 zingers. Ordered one chicken breast piece. Was soggy and tough. No interaction, communication or even a smile from server in drive through. Had a smiley face tattoo on his inner arm. Definitely not his life mantra. Wish I had read the reviews before going there. How come management is not taking any action over the poor reviews. Will not be going back. KFC Dunedin and Oamaru far superior.
It's a bit of a hit n miss with the service and food here, depending who you get. I personally like extra seasoning on my chips although 2 out of 5 times when I ask for 4x the amount I get absolutely no seasoning, which is disappointing.
Hasn't given me food poisoning yet. It may not seem it but that's a pretty high bar for any KFC, so kudos to these fine folks.Food: 5/5
I liked what I got, all I got was a popcorn chicken box, it was well salted and fresh chips and chicken. Was a bit odd there's no ordering box rather you just order at the window, menu feels a bit small too.
