Great little fish n chip shop! Fish cooked to order and a few good choices. Fish and chips were cooked to perfection and presented in a box slid into a paper bag. Good choice and variety of burgers , wraps etc. Service was prompt and friendly. Value for money .
Unfortunately after a recommendation it was bitterly disappointing! Food was extremely salty, so much so it had be removed with a handy towel before it could be consumed. Chips were under cooked and the burger cooking part was shut. Very limited gluten free options and what was offered was very overpriced. To top it off the customer service was poor with unfriendly, rude staff who seemed as if they didn't want to be there. We will not be returning!
This was a great place to stop on our way through Timaru. Good price for the fish and chips, great taste and friendly staff.
Went here while staying in Timaru picked this shop sue to advertising which said it had won the best fish and chips. They were ok but no where as good as my local in Christchurch. Wouldn't go back. Place looked filthy.
First I've been back there since 2011, I wish I hadn't. The place looked like it needed a good clean. The cheesey chips were disgusting, the fish average.
It may have been the place to go once apon a time. But I found it to be a let down. The place and the staff just looked "past thier best" the food itself was ok, but it was a long wait for our 2 pieses of fish and the hand full chips that came with it. Together with a coupe of small containers of sause we paid $20. I wouldn't go back there or recomment it to anyone.
The fish was rubbery and not crispy in any way. Fries were alright but not very hot. Staff weren't very friendly and refused to make burgers. Well over priced and not very good. Would not recommend to any one.
Probably won't be back. Got fish meal deal for four and very disapointed. Four pieces of fish and TWENTYSIX chips for FOUR people. This place used to be the best in town for fish and chips but I'll have to find another for my monthly treat.
Must have struck a bad night, cold cheese burger that was only suitable for the bin. Fish and wantons look promising but delivered zero flavour. Bluff oysters were good.
