An old school motel situated dead centre of town with easy access to shops across the street.  Rooms were tidy and made up really well each morning.  Not exactly  modern but if you have business in town it's an ok place to stay.

Terrible place, even worse service. The owner is arrogant, parties all night in the front shed where the pool table is for him and family use only. The pool is a nightmare, nasty green and full of debris.nThe rooms are very dated and barely minimal set up. The beds are not worth sleeping on, looks and feels like they got dragged out of the 50's.nThe camp kitchen is very basic but I guess functional at best.nThe laundry is overdue for a makeover, the $3 washer barely washes and the dryer, we'll, save you coins for the laundromat in town as it doesn't work.nI peeked into the camp bathrooms in hopes to see improvements, but, I was not let down.nThe men's toilet was running all over the floor, the shower head looked good but sadly mistaken there also.nAll in all, this place is close to being needing to be condemned. It's small, untidy, extremely outdated, and arrogant.nThe guy in the small bus smoking too much Marijuana, the smell fills the campsite, trash out on the grass beside the bus, loud music, just a shambles.nWas booked in for 2 nights....opted to pack up and find somewhere a little better.nWould NOT recommend this place as a dog shelter let alone a motel. Went stayed across the road...so much nicer, just an expensive exercise.

This place is a dump!! Ants everywhere,  cheap and nasty plastic kettle falling apart in my cup, filthy cups, badly stained toilet and basin, dodgy stains on bedding  - stayed less than 2 hours for $160 - rip off.Sleep in your CAR and save $160 and a nasty experience  - didn't think places like this existed in our lovely country  - especially for $160! Doesn't deserve a one star!! SHUT IT DOWN!

Needed a place to sleep along SH1 on our way to Auckland and this place was a lifesaver! Service available 24 hours so we were able tonget a room at 3am after passing tons of closed motels. The guy we called was super friendly, especially considering the time and sudden enquiry. Even let us just grab a key and pay next morningnnRooms are basic, but actually a lot nicer than we expected. Clean and with full set of amenities. Kitchenette with microwave and mini fridge, glassware and hot water, full size bathroom, shower, and toilet. I can see how folks would disappointed if they were expecting something besides a roadside motel, but honestly perfect for what we needed.

Never ever will I be staying here again. Notting like the pictures. Pool is allways green and disgusting which sucked because it’s summer, hundreds of ants everywhere they were coming out of the bottem of the shower. Stove didn’t work and when they “fixed” it only one element worked. Most of the lights didn’t work. Loud music blared most of the time. Just in general a dirty place, you’d expect more for the price but don’t keep your hopes high.
