Have been there several times for meals and drinks. Was there today and ordered the Crispy Skin Salmon at a cost of $34.00. Was served a dish with a 100 to 120g salmon portion, a very small handful of salad containing 1 slice of tomato, a few pieces of feta and greens, and a portion of soggy chips. Very disappointed at this. I have had much better meals at other venues for that price and even cheaper. Lift your game Have also read another customer’s review who had a disappointing experience here. When this person complained he/she was told to leave and was told the tavern manager would call the police!!!! The customer called back to complain about his/her experience and the tavern manger sent the police to the customer’s house. What the f..k!!!! These publicans/managers have no idea how to run a business. Don’t these idiots realise that IF YOU DON’T OFFER FRIENDLY, GOOD VALUE PRODUCTS AND SERVICE, YOUR CUSTOMERS WILL NOT COME BACK, AND EVENTUALLY YOU WON’T HAVE A BUSINESS. There is plenty of competition out there. I will not be returning to this venue.
The Kardy is a casual old school pub located in Kardinya. The staff are super friendly and the food is good. The steak is amazing! I often go with my elderly parents and they absolutely love it.
Came for lunch with my partner. Food was great and good value for money - we ordered some entrees and they were the size of mains, great quality pub grub. Amazing customer service from the bartender and quick turnaround on food. Would be great if the beer garden had a revamp to give it a little more atmosphere as this is a great little venue.
If I could get away with not having to give it a star I would. After booking a large group of 36 people for a 90th birthday 1 month in advance the person that took the booking didn't bother to enter it into the book. Rang to confirm and was told there was no booking. They then booked our table of 36 and 3 high chairs. Rang two days later to make sure and someone had cancelled it. Booked it again for 36 people and 3 high chairs. Got to the tavern and they had the table ready for 30 people and 1 high chair. Got told that was what we booked. Seriously, that's BS It was a hot day and were told by one person that the aircon didn't work but by another person it was on but not working properly. The food itself was plentiful but not that good. The staff were friendly that is what made the experience tolerable.
Rudeness beyond belief towards a volunteer coordinator and external staff member. Booked for one of our Volunteer Social Support Groups to have their Christmas get together at the Kardinya Tavern. The food and the rest of the staff were very good but the Manager Chris is in the wrong profession. He was rude and spoke down to a number of people and after 3 years of holding our Christmas catch ups there would never go back.
Really great lunch. Unfortunately my friends who were with me were in a great hurry to order, so didn’t read through the whole menu. But what I ordered was delicious as were my friends meals. We had the nasi goreng with chicken, the mee goreng with prawns & a Caesar salad. All good size servings & reasonably priced Next time will try the garlic prawns or one of their steaks. Well worth a visit
Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff cant go wrong and with 5 different summer cocktails at $10 even better.. My girlfriends and I had a lovely arvo. Garlic chicken pizza, and fried chicken pieces were delicious
I’ve been coming here for nearly 20 years! Great food, nice place! Probably still be coming in another 20 years!
Nice atmosphere and staff are friendly. No accessibility facilities which was a let down. The rear entrance is good for walkers but the car park is not set for dropping close to the door for those with limited abilities. I work with aged care groups so my opinion is coming from that p.o.v.
Popped in today for lunch. Place was buzzing and the staff coped amazingly well. Smiles all around. Food was delectable, wine met with approval from the Boss and my Hazy Ale hit the spot. No wonder we keep going back. p.s. the Mushroom Rissotto is to die for.
