First time here for brunch. Was busy on a Saturday just before 11. I had the Riverside Grande, everything was nice except my tomato wasn't cooked enough but I should have specified when ordering that I like it well cooked. Son had smashed avo with poached eggs and I gave him my hash brown. He said everything was delicious. We both had an iced coffee which were nice but they didn't have a decaf version which I get at most other cafes. Service was good and place seemed clean and you have the option to sit inside or out. We would go back again!
A perfect restaurant which I highly recommend. I came from NSW for a casual trip. Went for a Swan river cruise and then the next day went for Pinnacles, Sunset and Night time stargazing trip all at Barack street. This restaurant is right next to Captain Cook Cruises and also close to Australian Pinnacle tours office. Friendly staff and very helpful. Had coffee in the morning and then Banana bread at 2 pm along with the beer haha. Didn’t have enough time but could have spent the evening at the restaurant I didn’t have time to have lunch, but definitely would recommend the cafe. It’s very spacious. They have toilets.
Stopped here lunch Wait was 40 minutes for food and they were closing at 13:30. We arrived at 13:20. So some fruit smoothies and cake which were alright. Addit I accept that the industry is struggling with staffing. But I didn’t advocate they remove masks and the obvious impact this would have on business. This is only wave 1 of Covid and if you think staffing is an issue now wait will we reflect the experiences of the rest of the world! If your business doesn’t change to this new reality then this sorry tale will repeat itself.
Update: at no point did we suggest there was an issue with language. It was the tone and mannerism in which we were spoken to. Our coffee and milkshake was lovely today, however, our experience was let down by the food and service. I ordered the Salmon Benedict $24 - pictured below. Unfortunately, the eggs were over cooked and the hollandaise was tasteless. When I spoke to the waitress, I was told “but the dish has sauce” in response to the eggs being over cooked. While I did eventually receive a refund, the poor service is what has resulted in this review. I wasn’t rude about the meal, however, I was spoken down to like a child by the waitress. I do thank the General Manager for refunding my meal though.
Today my wife and I walked from Tudor Court to Elizabeth Quay. Passed the water fountain and walked all the way to the Riverside Cafe, Bar and Restaurant. The moment we enter the front entrance around 200pm the bar tender greeted us with a warm friendly smile! I ordered a larger - Swans, my first Aussie Larger in Perth! I ordered a cappuccino and a cheesecake for the wifey. Took my larger and paid my bill and the number to our table. We sat indoors and first to arrive was the cheesecake followed by the cappuccino. I find the Riverside cafe to be a nice and friendly place. Service was efficient and fast with a smile. Could not asked for a better place for dessert, coffee and beer. Will go back again when we take the Swan River Cruise. We loved the cafe absolutely! Cheers to the Riverside Cafe and Bar. Thanks for making our day!
I went into this Cafe to purchase a snack before going on a cruise. I had already purchased a takeaway coffee from another Cafe, but they didn't have a food option I wanted. When I ordered for my husband and I, the man shamed me for bringing another business' coffee into his shop. I was purchasing food for 2 from his shop anyway and it didn't have a name on the coffee cup! I felt embarrassed. But to boot, the cake I had purchased for myself was not very nice anyway. Carrot cake should have cream cheese icing. The cake part of it was also overly sweet. Usually carrot cake is a healthier option for cakes.
Friendly staff, good food and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options right on Perth's picturesque waterfront. The cafe's weekdays deals are good value.Food: 5/5
My friend and I visited this morning whilst staying overnight at nearby hotel. Great location but that's the only positive. We both ordered scrambled eggs with our breakfast however both of us could taste plastic with a strange consistency as seen. I asked what I thought was a nearby waitress if she could ask kitchen to try our eggs as they didn't taste, look or smell right. That's when things got worse I was confronted by her and her husband? Who started telling at us telling us to F off and leave!!! I was not yelling or rude and have never been so shocked and disgusted in all my life...AVOID this place like the plague this kind of service or defensive rude behaviour does not deserve anyone's business. ***UPDATE*** What absolute lies...there were no other customers??? My friend and I were the only ones sitting outside? Would you like me to post photos and a video I took?? Just admit you were rude and unprofessional instead of lying and placing the blame game....There are lots of other negative comments from the same day I visited are we ALL liars??? You are a piece of work
Just had Father’s Day breakfast. Totally blissed out after a great meal! Waffles were sublime. Bacon incredible. Sometimes food is next level, and today at this cafe was one of those days!
We just had lunch at your cafe & it was terrible. My husband had fish & chips & had to send it back as the chips were completely cold. I had the salad with added prawns. I left the salad as it was so limp & I was worried about it giving me food poisoning. There was a dressing but far from tangy. The service was so disorganized even though there was lots of staff on duty. We are often in the area & will not be returning
