Absolute beautiful property and such an amazing tranquil place to stay only a short drive away from the hub of Port Douglas. The cottage was well set out & I had everything I needed at hand.....including the Tavern next door, where I met a group of travelling bird-watchers staying in the area for exclusive Bird-Watching opportunities! 😊 Thanks so much Cathy and Gerhardt for a great break. I highly recommend anyone to stay in this Hinterland slice of paradise. Wish I could’ve stayed longer!

Such a beautiful little gem in the tropics. The cottage got all you need, and the owners are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the nature.

What a beautiful, quiet and perfect place to unwind. Sitting out on the back porch in the evening watching the sun set over the Daintree was exquisite. The cottage invites you in, it is so clean, cosy and comfortable surrounded by lush green gardens and a picturesque pond complete with lily pads and abundant bird life. Breakfast of local produce was delicious too. If staying book a massage with Cathy, truly amazing! Loved the proximity to Port Douglas, Mossman and surrounding Tablelands. I didn't want to leave this superb B & B.. I'll be back for sure. Thank you Cathy & Gerhard.

Two nights - not enough! The cottage was just lovely and so much attention to detail. Treats, a bird book, plant book and so much more. There is a peaceful outdoor eating area and the provision of an electric frypan made it unnecessary to leave the property. A large garden to wander around and a birdlover's paradise!

We stayed 2 nights at Julatten Birdlovers Cottage this month. it was peaceful, private but the owners were there if one needed advice. Lovely walks on the property with bird watching.The cottage itself was sooo comfortable and well presented with everything you could want including treats put there by the owner. We were close to Mossman and Mount Molloy. Just disappointed I didn't have time for a massage - perhaps next time!
