They had a great special on Kobo reader that was on display. I wanted to purchase it but sales person said I had to wait until a rep came from the mainland and undid it from display. Went to check on it today to find it had been sold even though my details had been taken to purchase once taken off display. I was also told the store has the tools to undo displays so what was going on here.
Great store policies but the staff are constantly walking around ignoring customers. After many visits and purchases in the store every visit I see groups of staff members just standing and talking. All in all it's a great store but the staff need a good kick up the bum
After 45mins of approaching staff and asking for assistance, we just had to gamble that our purchase was correct and leave the store. Unfortunately due to their lack of assistance, our purchase was wrong and was refunded. Do better.
Good stores with friendly staff. I bought a laptop case from the rosny jb and returned it to the hobart jb which is handy being able to return an item to the store closest to you, albeit their prices are dear compared to Office works and even Harvey Norman now.
My wife visited the store today to look for a fit bit, and found an Inspire 2 on sale. She took the box to the counter, and was told there were 0 left, even though there were 3 boxes on display. There was no attempt to search around, and it was only after my wife's insistence that other stores were contacted. The end result - there was one in Launceston but it was faulty. If you are out of stock you need to remove the sign and the empty boxes why were they there if no stock, and also train your staff to give a damm.
This place has everything and the staff are nice yet it has the same problem almost every JB Hi-Fi has: The visual clutter is so overstimulating that it not only stresses me out but makes things very hard to find. Really the kindness of staff is the only reason this is remotely bearable but I know of plenty of other autistic people who wouldn't be able to reach out.
Made an order for a Segway scooter in oct so it would be ready for christmas. I was told it would be available in approximately 3 weeks. A month later it was not in. So I went to the store and placed and order for another one and the manager of the store said that they did not know when they would be in but I would get the scooters. Rang after Christmas to see about my order and my order had been cancelled due to supply issue and that I had to go to the store to get a refund . Probably the worst retail service I have ever experienced. Will not be purchasing from them again.
I needed help to find AirPods, I approached staff member named Rickey may be, he said he is serving someone else, I stood patiently for him to finish but he just walked off completely ignoring me, went to the TV section and started talking with two others staff members who were already standing there. Really sad He was more interested in chat with his colleagues than serving customers.
Stood near computer section for 15 min without being asked if I needed help. Finally asked a staff member who walked by to be told not my section and I’ll get someone for you. 5 minutes later after having more uncomfortable eye contact with the security guy, a salesman showed an interest. I asked him if I was invisible, to reply “would you like to see a manager”. Thinking this would probably take another 10 minutes declined but asked for service and some questions about laptops. The salesman at Harvey Norman thanks the big guy with the beard at JB for his sale. Won’t go back.!
There's a wide range of tech, and the display for the Galaxy Fold was very interactive. There's many other phone options aswell.
