We ordered online and paid for shipping. Officeworks said delivery would be by Thursday, but they didn't get to it until late Friday and we had already left for the weekend. No cancelling, no refund for shipping costs even though it was their fault, no help by chat or phone. If you need something soon, don't believe it when it says in stock and delivery tomorrow.nnUpdate: Now they've taken it out to Cambridge and won't attempt delivery again. Officeworks won't cancel order or refund delivery fee. None of this would have happened if they'd have delivered it the day they said they would.
Officeworks Hobart is a stationery wonderland! I always find exactly what I need and then some. It's like my second office, but with way more cool pens! The staff are superstars, always ready to help. Definitely a five-star experience!
I visited Officeworks Hobart multiple times yesterday but unfortunately could not get parking on any of those occasions. The parking area is very small compared to the number of customers visiting, and all spots were consistently full.nThis was quite frustrating, as I genuinely wanted to shop there but had to leave without entering the store each time due to lack of parking. For a busy store in a central location, the parking capacity feels inadequate.nThe store itself is usually great, but parking availability seriously impacts the overall customer experience. It would be helpful if Officeworks could look into better parking arrangements or clearer guidance on nearby alternative parking options.
I visited to request a price match, but the staff member spent more than 10 minutes staring at the competitor’s website without explaining what she was checking, even though the product was clearly identical. A senior staff member eventually came over and confirmed that it was a valid price match, yet the first staff member continued “checking” without providing any explanation.nnAfter placing the order, I was told an estimated arrival time, but the order was delayed by a full week. Since the item was meant to be a birthday gift, I ended up going to JB Hi-Fi instead. Their team completed the price match within one minute.nnI am unsure whether this experience was due to the individual staff member or if this is common practice. I would appreciate clarification on whether Officeworks has a standard, trained process for price matching, as my experience felt unnecessarily difficult.nnI also encountered issues with the refund process. I was told that I needed to collect the delayed item before a refund could be issued, which I don’t understand. When I went to the store to complete the refund, the system was down, and the staff told me to call the next day to get the refund via the phone. When I called, I was told my call needed to be transferred to head office, but it never connected. Instead, the phone system kept sending me through automated menus without reaching a real person. So I have to visit them again.nnOverall, this experience has been extremely frustrating, and I hope the team can review both the price match and refund processes to ensure they are efficient and customer-friendly.
I haven't shopped here in person, but I've had online orders dispatched from here. I had to chase up my most recent order that had a postage issue, and after making contact via the website and not getting anywhere, I phoned this Hobart store who sent it. The man who answered the phone was really helpful, and a special shout out to Daniel in dispatch, who sent a replacement item which arrived on the following business day.
