Story

Owned by a Japanese couple; we offer Japanese cuisine more on the fusion side than authentic. We use Organic produce as much as we can to deliver healthy and environmental friendly choices. Our menu offer Gluten Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian including our Macrobiotic desserts. For meat dishes, we carefully choose Free Farming produce such as Free Range Chicken, Free Farm Pork and organic Beef.

Our chefs have extensive cooking experience in Japan and in New Zealand.

We won’t talk too much here, but come in and see us. We are ready to offer you the whole dining experience

Such a lovely place. The servers were all really lovely, the food was delicious and there was such a great selection of vegan options. A little pricey but not too bad serving sizes for the price plus all really good quality. The only thing I would criticise was that the vegan hot pot had unfortunately curdled and was a little bland. But the other noodle soup, steam buns and sushi rolls we ordered were all amazing! I definitely would recommend Janken to my friends.

Delicious authentic Japanese food. Lots of vegan options and the staff are super friendly and will always help you if you want to make some adjustments with your dish. Funny enough the desserts are the best part!!

Very nice food, friendly staff. The service was a little slow so I would recommend if you have time to sit and enjoy the experience.

Some of the best Japanese food in town. Plenty of vegan options. Definitely try the Tofu buns!
