The vehicle was definitely older (2006), expected with the lower car rental rate.  It did perform, so no complaints there.   Oddest unexpected was that the side view mirrors lowered automatically when backing up.  Not as helpful as a backup camera as on newer cars, but helpful nonetheless.

I found them rather scattered in their processes for check out and check in and their yard was very crowded.   Perhaps just lucked into busy times when I was there?

Rental vehicle was not cleaned well - failed to clean inside of windshield creating a safety hazard driving into the sun right off.     Had to procure  my own window cleaner as we were already on the road.  I mentioned when returning the vehicle.  I thought they might give me at least a courtesy credit for my extra expenditure and inconvenience, but nope.  

While there was lots of body damage, dents and scratches, prior to rental noted, they had no sheet to mark it so, instead encouraging me to take photos, which seems less than efficient.   20 or so photos later, when returning, I didn't see them check for damage.

Air conditioning button worked sometimes, took repeated presses and good thoughts.

Also to note for future renters, they do not offer a grace period for partial days early or late return.  That's fine as long as one knows.

We hired a small truck to move house today. It was straight forward to book and good value. So much better than hiring a trailer,  especially because it rained heavily. We could move everything in one trip too which saved lots of time. Definitely recommend James Blond as great to deal with. Thank you!

Good service. Very helpful and easy going. Car was good for the price paid. $10 extra for zero access insurance is great as you drive worry free. Not lengthy paper work. 5 min to get the car and same for returning time.

Absolutely love this rental company! Not only do they offer top service but they are kind, caring and above all else, extremely trustworthy. 
We were referred to them by a family member, I have also referred them to anyone travelling back to NZ and will continue to because the service is exceptional. 
I flew into NZ just recently, without plans to come home and the lovely team at JB sprung into action to get me a rental. Unfortunately the first one I chose was a little small for my family but they were quick to find me another suitable for my requirements - customer error.
I generally have pickups and drop offs at the airport however as i was already here I wanted to check out the depot, I was not disappointed. 
If you’re going to lease from this company, the JB team work tirelessly on the vehicles so from another customer please treat the staff and property with respect and honesty they deserve. They are a lovely bunch. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

The service is just nice and friendly. However, we need to pay lots attention for the mileage. Since I got unpleasant experience. They didn’t show me the starting mileage and I didn’t take a photo on the Mileage on board. I believe they would be fair. Unfortunately they charge me 48km for the trip use only 15km. But, without the evidence, I couldn’t argue much. Next time need to be more careful.
