Stayed here for 3 days I really liked the cabins. It’s not luxury but fully self contained cabins with bath and shower, full kitchen 2 rooms. One upstairs. Although it was a little warm up there the kids loved it. Has aircon and ceiling fan. I was very happy with my stay. It has a pool for adults and the little ones. It also has a tennis court and play ground for the kids. The only criticism I have is the kids play ground had no shaded area and was way too hot for the kids to play. Perhaps a shade sail could be considered so the kids and more comfortable playing.
The park is very tired. The toilets were dirty, appeared not to have had a good clean for quite awhile. Corners were grotty, mirrors dirty even a used cotton bud on vanity that had been there from previous afternoon when we checked in. It is a tree studded park, and leaves are a given, but it just gave snakey vibes. Convenient location and lady on reception was very friendly, although office not open at 9.25 when we left, although advertised as 9am open.
This is the fourth time that my family and I plus our beloved large family dog, have stayed at Ingenia Sydney Hills - this year. Each time in a different cabin, all four cabins were maintained to the highest standards. On arrival, you will be greeted at reception by either the adorable Lily, or, the beautiful Louise. Anthea - Head of Housekeeping and Nadine, have consistently ensured our cabins have been serviced with efficiency, dedication and pride; keeping us with a plethora of white fluffy towels every few days. All of this was achieved with a continuous smile on each of their faces and an outstanding personalities to match their kind and welcoming hearts. Dave - Park Maintenance, planted the most beautiful plants outside KP10 Cabin, which boosted park morale significantly. Dave also promptly handled our ant issue which is to expected due to park location, with ease and sincerity, which was greatly appreciated. Kylie - Park Manager, is singlehandedly the most hard-working manager I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Kylie's commitment to bettering the park and ensuring guest satisfaction is unparalleled and impressive. Her work ethic goes above and beyond what is expected, and she is an absolute delight to deal with and all of my family members look forward to interactions with Kylie on a daily basis. We have also stayed perviously at Ingenia - Avina Vineyard, and by far Sydney Hills is superior in every aspect of the park. On behalf of myself and family I thank all staff for providing a welcoming, safe and happy environment.
We had booked a powered ensuite site for two nights. It had not been cleaned very well. There were leaves strewn about near the entrance to the bathroom which we swept on our own. The ensuite itself was showing its age with worn out fixtures, crumbling beams, and spider webs and dead insects stuck to the ceiling a little cleaning with detergent could have prevented this. The waste water drain was completely covered with leaf debris. The grass next to our site had not been mowed for quite some time and was now full of weeds. The access roads inside the park are quite narrow -- important when you're driving a 26ft motorhome. Unlike other Ingenia locations, park amenities for visitors are scarce -- one camp kitchen and a non-heated swimming pool.nWe have really enjoyed our stays at other Ingenia RV parks such as Kingscliff and Bonny Hills. Sadly, Sydney Hills was a huge disappointment. We will recommend our friends and family to avoid this location.
We are only rating this stay a 2 out of 5, solely because the beds were very comfortable and the reception staff were genuinely lovely and kind.nnWhen we first checked into our room, it appeared tidy at a glance. However, upon closer inspection, there were several cleanliness issues. The windows were dirty, with visible mould on and around the window sills. Most surfaces were covered in dust, as though they hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and around the toilet, and the shower temperature was extremely inconsistent—constantly switching between hot and ice cold with no stable temperature.nnIn the dining area, the sliding door was dirty with debris built up along the bottom, and there was an old, unpleasant smell. When we opened the cupboard to get the broom, there was a very strong and disturbing odour, as though something had died inside.nnI raised these concerns with reception while we went out for a short time. The receptionist was very kind and helpful and notified the cleaning staff. However, when we returned, all the windows had been shut I had intentionally left them open, and the mould was still present. I tested it with a baby wipe, and it came off very easily, indicating it had not been properly cleaned.nnWhen I returned to reception to explain this, the cleaner was present. After showing them the dirty wipe and explaining that the mould had not been removed, the cleaner responded rudely and arrogantly, stating she had sprayed everything with bleach and shut the windows because dust was blowing in. I explained that dust does not cause mould and that I had taken photos before we left, which showed no change. She said she would come to the room so I could show her, which I did, but her attitude remained rude throughout the interaction.nnWe were also told to avoid the pool as its always having maitence done but never fixed was green when we staynnThe room also had a lot of damage around, paint peeling from rail, slippery patio when it rained, paint peeling off wall, etcnnWe were extremely disappointed by both the cleanliness and the response, especially considering the price we paid and the fact that we had two young children staying in the room. The situation left us feeling upset, frustrated, and seriously considering leaving early.
