We found them to be very friendly, professional and best of all very competitive with the final price a welcome surprise. Originally we were after only blinds but when we found out that they also did security screens we got a quote for those as well and again a very good price. The installer has gone out of his way to make sure we were happy with the blinds. Looking forward to the screens going in soon.

TERRIBLE attitude from rep who came to give quote. Explained we had purchased one from Bunnings to try to see if that was the way to go before ordering 18 blinds and finding out NOT what we wanted. So decided yes and let’s get some quotes to know where we are at, plus we wanted them installed for us. Also explained they are really only for use a for a couple of months a year. She seemed abrupt and opinionated. Her response to my “we would like to keep it entry to mid range due to lack of use”..GO TO BUNNINGS if you want cheap and nasty go to Bunnings. Excuse me I asked... I was told in a very rude voice I am not going to waste my time quoting if you want cheap and nasty that’s BUNNINGS IF YOU WANT THAT. WOW MAYBE I SHOULD SEND THIS TO BUNNINGS. IMAGE BLINDS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. SHE WAS ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATLEY.

Image blinds put themselves forward as the premium supplier and installer of security products ,blinds and shutters and certainly charge accordingly. I have spent well over $10,000 having Image blinds provide and install stainless steel security screens on sliding doors, plantation style shutters in bedrooms and sliding segmented style blinds in the lounge and kitchen area. The man who makes and installed the security screens is extremely fastidious and takes great pride in his work. The same with the plantation shutters a good solution offered and installed. The sliding segmented blinds did not work out as well. The issues start with the person who does the measure up, does not use a stud finder so that he can ensure that the brackets will end up being attached to a stud. When the rails were installed the end that was to store all the segments was cantilevered out in mid air so far that they dragged on the floor. The solution offered was to install plasterboard anchors in the wall board and expect that to support eight curtain segments. I was not going to accept that solution as it was a nonsense and an insult to the customer. It might work on little old ladies who have no knowledge of load ratings and the effect of having the load cantilevered away from the fixing. In the end they did have the rail remade so that it would be attached to a stud. Considering that they say they are the best in the Brisbane area I would have expected that at a minimum the installer would have been familiar with the product and not have to sit trying to work out how the brackets went together and then ringing the factory to obtain phone advise on how to proceed. Image blinds would not have used highly visible yellow zinc plated screws but would have used the readily available white painted screws and the tips of the plain white zinc plated bracket tips would have been painted also if they were trying to be a premium supplier in the Brisbane area. They talk a big game but in the end disappoint, white painted screws and brackets would have cost a few dollars and made the difference between a professional finish and a hack job.

We have been buying with Image Blinds since 1992. The quality and friendly service are as good now as ever, and staff turnover is so low that we still have calls from Aubrey, who contacted me in 1992! We have fitted out our current house with vertical, venetians, PanelGlide and Vogue shutters, and are very happy with the products and Image's service.
