There is limited services at this location. It surely does driving tests for new licence. From what I know they don't do driving licence renewal. Therefore please check the service you need before you visit this location. There is no token system here, so visit a free counter and speak to the officer when you arrive. It's not a very busy place. If you come for a driving test, park your car at the designated parking space for Driving Tests. After the driving test the instructor usually explains what opportunity you got to improve. Listen to them. All the best if you attend here to get a driving test.
I had heard some negative things about this place. So I was a bit scared heading in. But my experience in this place was the total opposite to what I had heard. Geoff was my examiner and he was such an excellent examiner, he could tell I was nervous but just assured me before the test and was so understanding and kind. The lady at the front I can’t remember her name but she was blonde was also so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to other people based off my experience today!
My younger sister had the worst driving instructor from Zillmere TMR this morning. His name is Andrew according to the badge. This old man was super rude to us and looked at my sister head to toe before walking her out to our vehicle. He started to tell her to rotate one of the front car wheels so that he could see the threading. According to Andrew, he believed that the threading was not appropriate for a 30 minute test. Now, my sister had two previous tests at Zillmere with Michelle and Kristoph who said that the car is fit to drive. No issues whatsoever. But Andrew here thought otherwise and said that he would not sit during the test. I wanted a second opinion because how can other instructors allow her to drive in that car, and him saying that it is not appropriate. Andrew said that it’s not going to happen and started to walk inside of the TMR centre, ignoring us. The car has been serviced recently at Toyota and they said that the car is perfectly fine. A road worthy certificate has been provided too which I showed but he disregarded it. Also, a driving instructor checked our car today and he said it was great. Moving on, I questioned if we were able to get a refund for the test seeing that it never started. Andrew said that he will not provide us with a refund for a test which made me extremely upset. We had taken our time out for my sisters test where I missed university lectures and she missed some of her classes. I then demanded for it and he agreed thankfully, although saying that it wasn’t necessary. The whole time I was quite civil and don’t go around starting fights because I have been brought up well by my Hindu parents. However, he thought otherwise and thought I was shouting at him. I truly believe he is a racist and past comments on this page prove it. In my opinion, I do not think this man is capable to have as a driving instructor and should be removed as he is nothing but a rude, racist and disrespectful man. I hope you understand how we feel, it was really hard to experience as a citizen of this multicultural country. We will now have to wait 2-3 months for another test booking which is super unfortunate. So thanks Andrew, for ruining my poor sisters day and my families hope!
My sisters time was wasted!!!nDriving test instructor Tracy at Zillmere TMR gave a false assessment on a perfectly working tail light this is reflected in the assessment completed by Zuppps Aspley will be offered if requested. This caused major inconvenience as the instructor gave 10mins to get it looked at and asked to return to complete the test. This is completely unreasonable even more so due to the fact that the accused car is fully road worthy. When we arrived back we were denied taking the test even with evidence of no issues with the tail light. This has put a huge strain on the day causing unnecessary stress due to incompetence in the worker. Being denied the test with a fully roadworthy car is super disappointing!
Be careful if you get the tester, Psycho Sue. She picks on the smallest detail, like shoulder checks are too quick and don't turn your blinker off when you're changing lanes, until your whole car is in the lane you're moving into. These things are just excuses to mark you down for as many things as possible so you can't pass. Watch out, she also says you have to use your indicator when you see the sign Form One Lane, even if you're not crossing over any lines, where the line disappears. And careful the carpark at Zillmere testing centre is only 10km/hr, she'll fail you.
