Great place to stay. A hotel on a budget with first class service and beyond. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was comfortable and well appointed and the food was first class. Also conveniently located close to town, so you can leave your car in their safe hands and go for a wander or grab a lime scooter for a look around. Highly recommend staying here if you're in Hamilton.

We are satisfied with the stay. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient. The view out of our window was great. I was satisfied with the parking and overall service. We felt safe. Breakfast was also fantastic. Great choices. We would want to come back if we can afford it again. Price was was on the high side. But since we came to Hamilton to attend an event to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday, I was willing to pay the charges. We also wanted to feel safe. But on any other occasion it will be harder for me to justify paying for the high rate.

I really liked the rooms. They were simple, well-designed, and had everything you needed. Unfortunately, the overall experience was completely overshadowed by the poor service.nnThe service was wildly inconsistent, and several staff members came across as if they couldn’t care less whether we were enjoying our stay. It felt like good customer service was optional, and for some, a chore.nnOne incident in particular stood out during checkout, where a staff member made sarcastic, unnecessary remarks throughout the process and was outright rude. It left a bad impression and made it clear that guest experience isn't a priority here.nnHowever, I would like to highlight that we were served by a lovely māori girl who looked after us for dinner despite our late seating and big group. She stood out for me.nnOverall, this visit to the Ibis was for work, but given the experience, should there be another time we need to work in Hamilton, I’d rather make the drive back to Auckland next time than stay another night. I genuinely hope the team can address the customer service issues moving forward. It made an otherwise decent stay feel disappointing.

Cheap and cheerful! Basic rooms but comfortable. Reception staff were lovely.nHousekeeping staff could show more consideration to guests with noise levels and loud conversations on guest floors.

Great hotel,  functional room fantastic staff. They went above and beyond offering me an umbrella when it was raining and placing my bag in the car for me. When I needed to park my car after checking out I was able to keep it in valet parking for the day. They were all very friendly and helpful
