Stayed overnight and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect, a building away from the main street yet it was surprisingly quiet. The room was spacious, spotless and the blackout blinds were brilliant. Service at the front desk was excellent—we were checked in and out quickly and smoothly. Booking was easy, breakfast staff were friendly, and there was a great selection to start the day. Our home away from home, Ibis is now the benchmark for us. Thanks so much Ibis Hamilton - you guys are perfect !!
Stayed here for a business trip and overall it was a strong experience. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, and everything ran smoothly. It’s a tidy, well run place that does the basics really well.nnDinner, however, was a plot twist. I ordered the gnocchi main and it arrived looking like it had ambitions of being a generous entrée. It tasted great, but at $30 it disappeared in about 36 seconds and still left me thinking about a second dinner. To be fair, I was not expecting to end the night at McDonald’s. Aside from that culinary teaser, a solid stay and I would happily return, just with a contingency plan for dinner.
Great place to stay. My room looked out over Waikato River. Lovely staff. Modern, clean and equipped room with a comfortable bed. Lime scooter was a minute walk away which was a fun way to see the city.
Service and location can’t be beat. Parking is expensive at $42 a night, but it’s a city, so what can you do? Bed and room were comfortable enough, standard hotel room, but the water pressure was atrocious. Just above a trickle from the shower head. Maybe it was because we were on the top floor? Thankfully we were only staying one night, because I definitely couldn’t wash my hair! Would stay again, but not for any length of time.
Upon arrival it was nice to have someone at the door to know what to do they offered valet parking, but there was no mention of the parking cost.nThe check in process took a long time, it would have been nice to have been offered to sit or use the bathroom or have a drink.nThe bed too soft I ended up trying to sleep in the middle of the two beds put together.nThe pillows were two large doesn't it make sense if you're going to have three pillows on the bed to have some different size options?nThe shower water temperature constantly fluctuated while showering, from too cold to too hot.
