First impression with Valet team was awesome managing chaos. Although did not had a parking reserve so easily hanlde it with overflow situation. Check in was smooth, veryhelpful reception team, good breakfast selection. Every team on every interaction made feel us welcome. Highly recommended and best stay experience had for a while.
Check in was simple, staff were friendly. We were told where we could park. We were told there would be a $50 incidentals charge applied in advance, I asked if that would be refunded/removed after we checked out and I was told 'Yes it would be'. Room was spacious and clean, all hotel amenities were lovely. Down side was when it came to checkout time. We were asked if we wanted to pay for our accommodation and the parking, I was like, what parking? We weren't told there was an additional parking fee, we were only told where to park, luckily the receptionist had encountered this before, she apologised and took the charge off. Lastly, I assumed the $50 bond charge would be put back on to my credit card after the room was cleaned and checked, as we didn't damage, break or use anything. Just checked my account and I have still been charged $50 more than my room was supposed to be. I will follow up with the hotel as well. Staff were great, just not all on the same page.
Over all great location. Lovely entrance and parking below under cover. Service efficient, not friendly or even with a smile. The ladies at the counter almost scruffy in appearance with zero makeup and uniforms a bit unkept. For $350 a night rooms are small but the bed super comfy. Bit stingy with the note pad of 3 sheets and single pen. It’s the little things that add extra to make one feel like it the luxury expected for price and location.nThen there was the fire and evacuation at 11pm. All issued out. Turn once clear, not explanation or apology, ushered in. Loads people … ok check out may have been opportunity to express incompetence apology or something. Nothing said or even ‘how was your stay?’nReally underwhelmed.
We did not spend much time in the hotel really just to sleep and have breakfast. It was nice a clean. Staff were nice and helpful. Price of parking was expensive @ $40 per night.
Room was new and clean, albeit tiny. I knew the size beforehand so not an issue. I had my toddler with me and she loves milk, she drinks milk to sleep. The room had a carton of 250ml meadow fresh in the fridge, I asked reception for 2 more and was told they needed to check with the supervisor. Not long after brought some milk to the room in a large coffee cup and was advised if needed more there will be an extra charge. Since when does Accor, a giant multinational group squabbles over $1.50 carton of milk? Especially after paying $379 for a night? Not a very big picture move risking name and reputation for $1.50. Frankly it spoiled my evening....so much for guest experience
