Come here at around 10pm my food was very average. Chips were salty like I like but cold. The chicken was dry on my classic grilled chicken burger!
Update November 2024,nCool calm and collected. It was one of the busiest nights I have ever seen at Hungary Jacks Bendigo when we decided to dine in. The place was absolutely jumping, this includes the drive thru and deliveries. We were not in a hurry tonight, so we just observed the very busy service as we waited for our orders. I have raised my service rating here to 5 on this review. Team member, George, and others did a stellar job. George was cool, calm and collected with the many orders he was taking. Nothing seemed to frazzle him as he worked at the front counter register serving the majority of customers and then jumping in to help prepare orders too. He did all of this with a happy and efficient demeanor in what was a very challenging situation. He gets our vote for 'employee of the month'. Great service does get noticed and rewarded.Well done!!nnPrevious reviewnFriendly service here. Well, that was a bit weird. I ordered a medium Whopper meal to include a medium orange juice. I received the Whopper meal with a very large orange juice and a Drumstick ice-cream which I never ordered. Of course, I do know how this happened. My order was partially mixed up with the person who was ahead of me in the queue. The staff member relied on what they thought was ordered by each person rather than checking the printed POS order. They prepared and filled both orders at the same time. When this sort of thing happens, I am the one that usually finishes up missing something from the order but not in this case. The service was friendly, but the order was incorrect and their attention to detail was lacking. Although admittedly to my advantage. However, at the time of writing, there is a person out there on this unusually very hot March night who received less than they ordered and paid for. They definitely won’t be happy.
Sadly the breaky wraps were overloaded with bbq sauce. I had to scoop it out but still a lot was left in. The toastie looked and tasted like it was dipped in butter. I thought the hasbrown was not bad but my boyfriend disliked how oily and soggy it was. I ordered my free coffee there and sadly it tasted burnt. I drank it because I did not want it to waste but in the nottom I saw black chunks. Very sad. But thestaff was very nice!
As a teen working in fast food myself this place really does disappoint. The food took 30 minutes for a burger, onion rings and chips, but I had watched them place the order in the warmer to go cold 15 minutes before it was given to us when the drinks were the only thing the order needed. The order was luke-warm at best and there weren't even many customers. The workers have no hustle or desire to work it seems. As well as this the toilet facilities smell disgusting and the restaurant has also collected the smell. Save your self the time and go elsewhere.
This place has gone down the dump since being bought out recently. Prices have skyrocketed and the food has gotten worse. Soft drinks weren’t event available today because their machine was broken, we were given the option of another drink - I got a milkshake - but of course we were charged extra for that! Hope it’s worth milking your customers for their money, because I’m not coming back here again.
