Contacted them by phone and e-mail, got a response after 2 weeks. They emailed saying they would call me next day, did not happen. They have good mortgage rates, but very poor service

In general, HSBC is appalling. NZ seems slightly better than the rest of the world, in all fairness. Their PR team stepped in to help sort out a shameful issue caused by the global customer services team. That's not enough to earn the brand a rating of anything more than 'appalling'.

It took two emails and 4 phone calls to finally talk to somebody how about investing. You would think that they would want your money...anyway, I did all that only to discover that they ONLY do term deposits. Lame.

It takes 5 calls, 3 emails and 2 visit to transfer 2000 to my anz account. Worse bank ever, avoid at all cost!
