The customer service in this branch is so poor and rude. Bad manners. No need to shout to the customer. He talks not listen to the customer. Also, do not say to the customer that nzd 30k is not much money. That is plenty for others and hard work money. I will not go inside this bank anymore.
Well.. they did the service as I requested but there is a lady who disclosed publicly how much I have in my saving account though we can determine which account im referring to by reading out the account name not the amount I have ? It's not something to worry too much but sometimes you don't want random people to know how much you have. Please be wary of this.
Plenty of staff wandering around, but only 2 out of 5 counter positions manned and a queue out the door.
Usually lovely service with all the other branches but this place was ridiculous! I only ever come here just for changes for my venue only to experience broken change machine and terrible customer service. The lady demanded for my ID when I already did multiple trips to come by. Also had the audacity to try to call me back straight after I left the bank to retrieve my wallet when told to do so....
A good experience there today. I went in with my elderly mother and although we hadn't made an appointment, Nancy Ling was able to meet with us fairly promptly in a private office and was very understanding and helpful in resolving our issues. She even picked up that Mom didn't have the most suitable savings account and switched it for us.
They told me it’s impossible to open a new bank account if you have no New Zealand bank account before. How is that supposed to be possible if you come from overseas with a Working Holiday Visum?
Worst service ever I had in my life at WESTPAC QUEEN ST BRANCH by NUTHAN Indian lady with glasses speaking Hindi SHE HAD A ARROGANT and RACIAL attitude towards the customers over the COUNTER. Happy to discuss with Branch Manager how she humiliated another guy who was in the Que before me
Admittedly a low bar but easily the worst Westpac branch I have had to use. Their change machine is either broken or out of change every time I go in. I know banks don't want to do person to person banking anymore but at least pretend you're trying Westpac Queen Street.

Racist Bank! A teller didn’t allow me to open a bank account due to my nationality, they also wrote “Chinese” new year instead of Lunar mew year, as if only chinese celebrate the lunar new year, Thankfully BNZ just checked my visa and documents and opened a Bank account for me straight away!
