Hog's Australia's Steakhouse Canberra

We booked at Hogs Breath before attending the theatre over the road. We were very specific about when we needed to be out and were assured that this was noted and wouldn't be a problem. Sadly this was not the case. We got our dinner with barely enough time to eat it. It was overcooked and less than satisfactory, and to add insult to injury full charges applied. It seems we were not alone in our poor experience with a couple at the register making a very similar complaint. We arrived on time, watched later arrivals get served and received a lousy meal......never again hogs breath. Shameful service and quality.

Slow cooked prime ribs. Always get the standard sized meals. The lite sized one are bit more dry. We also went on Sunday and some of veggies were a little off and they were out if potato mash but other times the food is pretty good.

Had the best steak around from any of the hogs. The service was great the manager stopped and said hi and the steak was to die for. The best a steak can get in canberra.

Justifiably proud of their generously sized prime rib steaks, which are available with a good choice of tasty toppings & flavours. They're also well aware that not everyone likes or wants steak & have made sure there are plenty of alternatives - burgers, chicken, ribs and some very interesting salads in their "light & tasty" range. Starters are tasty but with few healthy options & will probably mean you'll have to skip dessert (if you even finish main). Desserts are totally OTT & even single serves of most are best shared.

Good food but very poor service. They forgot our meal and made the excuse they lost our order. A lot of sucking up after they realised.
