This is a must visit breakfast or lunch spot for vegans visiting Melbourne. The menu choices are plentiful and the food is delicious. They serve an impressive range of pastries and baked goods as well for a quick takeaway bite with your coffee. Highly recommend giving it a try, it's so nice you won't even think about whether the food is vegan or not.

First of all. I’m not vegan by any means. Love my meat and all that. But you have to check this place out. What’s not to love. Decent variety of food. Highly recommend the nachos. I’d confidently say best nachos I’ve eaten in my life. And the coconut brownie can’t describe it any other way besides. Perfect. Loved the vibe super chill, friendly staff. My only complaint is that I can’t eat all of the desert/ sweet things in the front fridge in one go (stomach can’t fit all of that goodness) Vegan or not. Get down here you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve previously had very positive experiences at this cafe, this time however the cutlery was dirty and my meal was inedible. I ordered pancakes, they were beautifully presented with coconut cream and fruit, although the pancake itself had a strange chewy texture interspersed with large clumps of baking soda. The batter hadn’t been mixed at all causing the pancakes to taste both bitter and extremely salty. The staff were nice enough to give me a refund and a complementary cupcake. The cupcake tasted fine. I don’t think I’ll ever return to this cafe, maybe they were having an off day, but to me it seemed like sloppy service. It’s disrespectful to the customers when a meal is prepared so carelessly, it’s also extremely unhygienic to provide dirty cutlery.

First week as a vegan and I've been sceptical about weather vegan food can taste as good as normal food. This place proved it can be even better. We had the Big Breakfast and then pancakes - way better and way more ethical than the breakfast I used to have, plus awesome service. Both body and mind feels great!

We have never been disappointed when eating at Sweet Bones, and really look forward to it when we are visiting Canberra. The food is very flavourful and consistently good. It is also good for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
