We had an amazing stay at The Hilton cairns . Location is great. We had a beautiful waterfront view from our room . It looks so peaceful and wonderful.nOn our arrival the staff even upgraded our room.nThe breakfast has good vegetarian options as well.nMay be Little upgrade in bathroom otherwise everything was perfect and staff is very friendly
I stayed for 4 nights for a conference nearby. The lobby looks impressive with open sea view. The rest of the hotel is in need of a major renovation. Overall it doesn’t have the appeal that makes you want to linger for longer like how you usually feel at a real 4 5 star hotels.
It is located well by the riverside which makes a fantastic lockout from every side. The lobby is designed so beautifully which creates a great attraction. Staffs are very helpful and friendly which makes the stay even more easy and pleasant. Rooms are equipped with all of necessary things and are clean with comfortable beds. Room service is fantastic. Breakfast was delicious with ample options to choose from. The gym and swimming pool are beautiful and clean. I would love to go back and stay there. Highly recommended. Thanks to Hilton Cairns management team for their incredible service.
Not your average Hilton, and certainly not a 5-star hotel.nnI'm a Gold Member, formerly a 3-year Diamond member, who couldn't be more disappointed. I always seek out a Hilton first when on holiday, but this is not your average Hilton. The hotel primarily caters to Chinese tourists. Most of the signage is in Chinese, and queues for services are long. Expect to wait 10+ minutes for breakfast at 8 am.nnThe day we arrived, we discovered that the bedsheets were disgustingly unclean. We found this when we went to bed, so we had to sleep in them and raise a complaint the next morning. The bedsheets were changed, but no compensation was offered. They do have a 20-item laundry service for $35 AUD, which is convenient if you're in the middle of your holiday and need to wash your clothes.nnOverall, I am extremely disappointed with this hotel and will not be returning. This hotel doesn't meet the criteria for a regular Hilton member.
Despite its age, this hotel is impressively well-maintained. The shower and jacuzzi boast excellent water pressure and precise temperature control. The bed is incredibly comfortable—I slept soundly through the night without waking up once. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional service at the reception, where Peter Arico went above and beyond. He’s the epitome of a true gentleman: polite, attentive, and incredibly helpful.
