I can't speak highly enough of Gary and the team at Henderson Valley vet! To say I love my dog is an understatement, Gary has saved my dogs life and markedly improved the quality of his life with acute treatments and accurate diagnoses first time for chronic diahorea and dehydration, prescribing a change in diet that had put him in better shape at aged 12 than he's been in years. Most recently he solved the puzzle of a rash and provided excellent care and treatment and I found wandering dew plant in my garden. I wouldn't go anywhere else now, and I used to travel 350km to Kerri Kerri just to get good vet care, which I no longer need to do. This is an excellent vet, thorough and spot on!
Garry, Jenny and the team .. can't thank you enough for your expert care of our Mili. Garry ensured we understood the procedure and were fully prepared for the outcome which helped us to care for her with confidence once she was home. Your advice for the on going care of Mili through her recovery has served us well and a month or so on, Mili is sailing through her recovery. The kindness and compassion shown by the whole team was so appreciated. You made sure that Mili was well cared for but you also made sure we were OK, understood everything and were coping well. I can't thank the team enough and would highly recommend them without question.
Henderson valley vet was recommended to us by a friend, I'm glad we swapped over. Garry can be upfront but I love that, I'd rather know than have someone dance around. The receptionists are lovely and let me yabber away at them My oldest dog had her surgery through them and he was really good, then I found out my puppy had been vaccinated wrong by another vet with only two shots and done with vanguard not the plus for puppies. He ended up with parvo and they were very lovely and gave me the medications contact less and made sure I knew how to use them. He has pulled through and is 100% again, I will be sticking with these guys because they are very thorough.
Gary and his lovely wife Jenny are so friendly. Gary gives sound advice and was very compassionate when we had to put our dog Schultz down early last year. We now take our puppy Kobie there and find the team an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The very first time I took my dog in for her second round of vaccinations. The staff there were super nice lovely ladies. They treated myself and my dog the way were supposed to be treated. Looked after us. I was like I found a trusting vet instantly. But little did I know who the owners were. The next 2-3 times I went was for last round of jabs and check ups and a booster. Dr Garry is just all about having his way and how to train your dog. I went in last September for a booster and check up. Due to COVID.. I wasn't allowed into the vet. Dr Garry is the reason why my dog HATES the vets. It broke my heart seeing her shake and cry at the door. She took her collar off. The next second... I watched dr Garry put her lead around her neck and DRAG HER across the floor. The least you could do is just go down on the floor.. calm her down and give her some re-assurance that it's okay and nothing will happen. No.. he dragged her across the floor. Rang me back and gave me a lecture about what I can and can't do to my dog. Also kind of giving me a telling off because of SMALL things I have done to my dog to help with her health. Receptionist is also VERY rude whenever I'd call in or ask for advice. She always talks over me, cuts me off and talks to me like I'm stupid. To pay.. she asked for my credit card details. Didn't even assure me that they won't be written down. I asked to have machine at the door and to sanitise it after customers have used it. She said no. All they want is money. Overall.. very rude experience. Dr Garry doesn't know sh*t about dogs. Receptionist is very rude. Talks over you. None of them listen to what you have to say. Your a vet. Not a dog trainer.
My cat Pepsi just had another wonderful stay in the cattery, they keep the radio on for him and always offer to flea and worm him while he is there! Such a nice vibe from the staff there.
Vet Garry Cuzzens approach towards me was very condescending and he seemed to garner enjoyment from belittling me for daring to ask questions! The complete lack of empathy and care shown to both me and my dog was appalling and he obviously needs to retire or do something else! Furthermore, the diagnosis provided for my dog was completely wrong, and bordered on ridiculous! Subsequently, the same afternoon I went to another local vet to get a second opinion, and my dog got the required treatment and I was treated respectfully. Do yourself a favour and give this vet a miss, unless you like being spoken to like an insubordinate child by someone who obviously doesn't care less!
