Such a struggle to get any support from here, been sick for 1.5 month and all i could get was a nurse appointment just to tell me that i am perfectly fine. After finishing up consultation nurse asked me if I could enter the room again to check my temp etc etc that's after sending a prescription to a pharmacy , then it was for me to figure out that i got birth control pills to treat my throat infection I don't have any problem with doctors or nurses or anyone. I just wanted to recover out of the sickness.
Absolute rip off!!! After they rescheduled our appointment we finally were able to attend the appointment on the 3rd time. Only to be charged $100 yes you heard right, $100 to have our children’s warts burnt off by a nurse. They weren’t even seen by a doctor and it was over and done within 20 minutes. $100. Absolute highway robbery. The old lady on reception with incredibly rude also. Would never recommend the Heath Hub Project to anyone. Let alone a small family just trying to make ends meat.
You can't give zero stars... Just the worst health centre I've ever had to deal with. Been on hold on the phone at position number 4 for 30min now... Haven't moved 1 space... You can't book an appointment online, so don't know why they advertise this. Haven't been able to book online since it was released 6-7 years ago. When you are lucky enought to get an appointment, it's with a nurse, not a doctor. This place should be shut down. It is not fit for purpose!
Have a lot off trouble booking into see an actual Dr, cannot get past reception. Example; My 18 month grandchild has developed ongoing breathing issues, and was actually hospitalised last year with RSV, we have had to go to city doctors and palms because we cannot get in to the Hub. The Dr has been treating my grandchild with asthma pumps and antibiotics since February. The Dr told us after we finish the antibiotics to make an appointment with granddaughters own Dr, as they feel she has chronic bronchitis as it has not resolved, also only her own Dr can put in a referral. We phoned health hub and explained this to reception, on Wednesday, they said there is no appointment at any time, all they could suggest is to try again in the morning? I said we need to book an appointment for any available time so we can get my grandchild assessed, she said she understands, but all she can advise me to do is try phoning again in the morning. This was after being caller number 13, and waiting roughly 24 minutes, to be told that? On the health hub phone recording they say respiratory issues will be given preference? I also see they are still showing on line as taking new patients, really, and we are having to pay 48.00 a pop to take our grandchild to palms or city Doctors who manage to see her ,lucky for us. This has been going on since February.
Struggle to book for an appointment. When i book my appointment i said straight away i want a GP and the male receptionist who make face said that it will took a long time to book for a GP i said i will wait because my son skin condition not getting any better even though we been 3x for consultation. I want my son to seen by a GP. When i got my appointment for a GP it turns out on that day of appointment the receptionist tell the GP is sick and if its ok a nurse will see him or book another one. What?? For 4 weeks waiting you didn’t even bother to call that we cannot see a doctor.
So disappointing- Unfortunately they took 2 days to answer their phone. No good to anyone who is working. Charged $31 for a phone consultation. Completely unnecessary for a concussion clearance for a 16 year old. Could have supplied the paperwork free of charge. Not being able to see anyone in person is the issue. Pretty much equivalent to using ‘Google’ but cost money.
Honestly really upsetting having this place as my only Healthcare option. They just waste your money and only give you phone appointments. Refuse to listen to you and just jump to wild conclusions, I knew exactly what was wrong with me but was I allowed a word in, definitely not. The phone doctor just went on a tangent and jumped to some pretty wild conclusions. Imagine paying $49.50 for a 5 minute phone call where you just get ignored and don't get a chance to say what's actually wrong, and them being prescribed medication for something you KNOW isn't what is wrong. This place is a joke and and a disgrace. They are just in it to make a profit and truth be told it feels like a scam, but not only do you lose your hard earned money you get sacrifice your health and wellbeing along with it.
Always had a great experience, friendly kind staff and professional nurses who have been great with giving my baby her injections and checking her health. They have been great with my own consultations also. Yes they are busy but so is every other medical practice in NZ. This is a nationwide issue due to staff shortages and funding. Give the hardworking doctors and nurses in NZ a break!
I give lowest score, I do not know that why they do not have priority for the children. Many times I called during thr last month that my daughter had a high fever and the nearest appointment was for one month. I brought my daughter to the Palms. And even myself need an appointment then called for many times unfortunately unfortunately I was not able to get it. They told me to go to the hospital but I was not in emergency situation but had a high pain .
Have to wait atleast 30 plus minutes just to even get to the reception, and even then you only get phone call appointments had x2 bad runs and sadly this is the only place taking on new patients otherwise me and my family would be out of here so fast, the lady DR i spoke to for a appointment was rude, and charged me $50 for a 2 minute phone appointment to not listen to me and prescribe me allergy drops, i would give this place zero stars if i could, terrible client service, and seems like they dont care about the patients just the $$.
