We have been with HCF for 15+ years and have always had excellent service. I went into the Brisbane office recently and the person who served me was friendly, experienced and helpful - I couldn't have asked for more.
I cant express enough depression and stress while dealing with this insurance company. You will find yourself getting into a pile of excuses and delays and miscommunication and so on! Worst experience ever!
Team member was very pleasant to deal with and was proactive in suggesting a way forward with my issue.
This insurance company is full of Bulls*#t. Offered 130 000 flybys points when joined and stayed for 24 Months. I even asked for a guarantee on the phone that points were redeemable and I got one. I just didn’t get the points at the end of 24 months.
Been with them for over 11 Years until recently, its just gone down hill fast. Cant get in contact with them through phone, email or web site with no reply's, waiting times on the phone can be over 3 hours through the call Centre, Lost our claims in the mail twice?, they have technical issues to which push's your claims out another 7- 14 days all the time, just the most horrible experience you could imagine in the end, They were good but its gone done hill fast, strongly advise to shop around and ask about customer service because HCF is bad for this and strongly advise to look elsewhere. Through the Local branch is the only way to get communication if you have one. Brisbane Branch is the only ones trying to help us. The main company hopeless and a waste of your time.
Recently decided to change health funds to HCF, after being with our previous fund for 15 years. So far the experience has been awful! Still no membership cards after 6 weeks, and have just been advised that there has been another "error" and cards are to cancelled and re issued with another 10 day wait time. Impossible to get hold of them via telephone .... they are always experiencing " high call volumes" with ridiculously long call wait times, and sometimes they just cut you off and ask you to phone back another time due to " technical" issues. Feel totally un supported and vulnerable at this point. Can just imagine how terrifying it must be if you were trying to get hold of them in an emergency situation. If I had know how bad the management side of HCF was, we would never have made the move. It's not worth the small savings in premium. Going to now have to look at changing again. This has caused a huge amount of stress for us!
Been with HCF for more than 15 years now and never had an issue. Made multiple smaller claims for day surgery and fortunately never a large claim. Now upgrading our policy for the family with benefits and pet insurance. Will keep you updated.
Dr Paulo was great - very knowledgeable and explained the procedure and steps nicely when asked. Good experience. Brand new clinic. And I got good assistance when changing level of my cover thanks Robyn! :
Miss leading promotions and no willing to solve the problem. I have to call several times to follow it up. Customer service is bad.
