Hatch + Co. offers a relaxed bar and dining experience, located at Newstead’s leading food and style precinct - Gasworks Plaza.

Boasting a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, Hatch + Co. is the perfect place for friends and family to come together and enjoy fresh and honest food. The restaurant's signature décor combines contemporary blonde wood furniture, an open kitchen and walls of greenery to seamlessly connect the restaurant’s indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

Head Chef, Craig Wright leads the Hatch + Co. kitchen, delivering creative menus with something for everyone and delicious daily specials.

The menu draws inspiration from the principles of traditional slow cooking to create rustic, home-style dishes crafted from the best of local and sustainable produce. The range of meals includes hearty mains, flavoursome pizzas and generous share plates. The beer, wine and cocktail list has been designed to complement and enhance the food offering with a selection of local and imported labels.

Hatch + Co. is open seven days a week, from 11:30am 'til late.

Went for dinner & drinks yesterday afternoon. It was pretty hot as its an outside restaurant and there is no aircon or fans. Happy hour is from 3-6 and almost everything was discounted! This was a nice surprise for us as it isn't really stated anywhere and we only knew because the waiter happened to mention it in passing. Highly recommend going during happy hour and taking advantage of their $10 pizza & $6 wine! Menu is small, but everything we had was fabulous. Portions are somewhat small though, so keep that in mind. Can't beat the ambience & location though- very nice.

Utterly disgusting service. We stood at the entry for 5 minutes waiting to be seated without a single staff member even looking our way. Finally we seated ourselves only to wait for a further 15 minutes without any acknowledgement. Eventually I approached the bar and asked for a menu. The guy wiping glasses looked at me and then without saying a word went back to wiping glasses and turned his back on me. Finally a waitress who was chatting to another staff member came over and I told her we had been in the half empty restaurant for over 20 minutes whilst being ignored. She seemed indifferent and I decided there was no way this experience was going to improve so we left. On the plus side we walked across the street to Cheeky Poke bar and it was excellent.

Friendly and knowledgable service. Great food and easy to share plates - good vegetarian options. Easy location and good atmosphere.

Nice location.. undercooked pizza.. great calamarie and beef salad.. worst service provided ever!! The blond sweedish waitress made absolute sure that it would be the first and last time for us to give this place a visit!

a good place to come with a group to share a bunch of dishes. a bit more on the pricey side but the food is delicious and interesting. the service was great too. if you're vegetarian there's some good options and if you're a meat lover there's plenty of choice.
