Food is generally good. Staff are usually standing around talking, laughing and having a great old time while customers stand around waiting for their orders. The online ordering system is never even remotely accurate when it says your order is ready for collection. When you go in to collect it you’ll always be given the response “it will be ready in a couple of minutes”.. but in reality you’ll be lucky if you get your food within 15-20mins of it being “ready”. If you want food in a timely manner or want to feel like your time is respected, look elsewhere.

What was once my favorite burger from this place, Bonfire BBQ, has lost all it’s delicious qualities. I believe the company or branch is cutting costs by using cheaper ingredients and it doesn’t taste the same anymore I’ve ordered three times in the past 4 months and they have all been bad.nnThe “wagyu” beef patty tastes cheap and dry, the cheese is flavourless and tastes like plastic and worst of all, they have become stingy with the BBQ sauce which is the best part. Hardly any sauce and is lightly drizzled!! $30+ over Ubereats for this and chips with hardly any salt is an absolute joke and I won’t be ordering again.
After a day’s honest toil swinging pick and pan among the auriferous dust of Ballarat’s golden cradle, I made camp not with damper and billy tea, but with the finest treasure this weary soul has yet encountered: a Grill’d burger fit for a sovereign.nnLet it be known throughout the diggings—this establishment is a veritable meat haven. I sunk my teeth into a glorious stack, more meaty than a bullock’s hind, and twice as tender. The beef was a marvel—juicy as if kissed by the dew of Eden, seasoned like a bush poet’s tongue, and grilled to perfection over flame that surely danced with divine intention.nnIt weren’t just a burger—it were meat incarnate. If gold is the currency of riches, then Grill’d’s burger is the currency of bliss.nnAnd lo! The chicken bites—oh, those humble nuggets of fowl! Crispy ’round the edges, golden as the Eureka flag, and pleasantly plump inside. A fine companion to the beefy beast that led the charge.nnI’ve struck meat, lads. Not gold this day—but something far dearer to a miner’s belly. I’ll stake my claim beside Grill’d and guard it with fork and knife.
The restaurant inside is very welcoming, with attention to detail, and contextualised with the history of the place itself.nnThe soft-seated and tables were clean and adequately lit.nnI'm not crazy about junk food but I must say that the quality seemed rather appreciable, especially when compared to other fast food restaurants.
