Opened in January 2007, the Ballarat Steakhouse is located in a charmingly restored 1871 heritage building. Specialising in steaks and melt in your mouth ribs we also have vegetarian options, a gluten free menu, and extensive regional Australian wine list. Our team will deliver you an uncompromising steakhouse experience.

Died & gone to heaven! Fantastic food, lovely staff, meals consistently cooked the same - easily the best steak restaurant in Ballarat!!!! Slightly on the expensive side, but every penny is worth it. Even their desserts... 😍

Food was good but to find out that a gift card brought for us for xmas could not b used you would think that as they advertise that they r all under the umbrella of squire loft that a gift card could b used a any but no that is not the case it was very disappointing to have a $150 voucher and very embarrassing to find out that when we went to pay it could not b used the owner was of no help and could not come up with soulation to the problem lucky we had our bank cards on us to pay the bill i think that squire loft need to lift there game and have it plainly on there website that the voucher can not b used at any store very disappointing night

Food is good, steak is normallly cooked as ordered and chips are good. All the sauces are fantastic. But service is too restricted by the fact that it is a chain.
